Christmas present for the parents, mainly used for MS office and internet use. Space is an issue, and it has to be windows 8.

RAM: G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory F3-1600C9D-8GAB

I'm wondering if anyone has any idea on how to solve this issue:

- Screen goes black for .5-2 seconds.

-Monitor light stays on.

-ONLY happens when web browsing/excel/Ms Word

-Radeon HD 8770m w/ Intel 4000 Graphics card. Using a 24 Inch Asus Monitor attached with a HDMI to a Samsung Ativ Book 8. I am pretty sure this happens while the Intel Integrated graphics is running.

-Windows 8 64 bit

-I am 99% sure it's a software issue because this NEVER happens while gaming or watching a movie.

Anyone got any ideas? Is chrome having some compatibility issues with AMD as of late?

Hey everyone I am working on learning Spanish and am looking for games that have spanish voice-overs just so I could immerse myself in the language. 

I am open to any genre but I am guessing something like an RPG or FPS with a deep story line should do the trick.

Any recommendations?

There is hope..That new wing commander game there working on..Star citicen hopefully gets made..Looks to be one hell of a space sim..

I'm very skeptical. I've had my hopes blown for so many vaporware titles over the past decade. But it does look promising since they have the funds.

performance improvements are so minor, windows 7 runs great - asides from just wanting to try something new... what made you want to get it???
