Um no I'm not stupid, thanks for the insult though it just shows how AWESOME (Sarcasm) these forums are. Excuse me for not reading all the books and delving into the "deep history" of Halo.. jesus... I had no idea his name was john, never read the books just played the game and heard cortana calling him "Chief". I dont understand the excitement of wanting to see his face.. The Helmet represents the character to me that is all i need to see.

I would like to solo the Story but I will be a LAN partys of all sorts so thats what I will be doing all day and night after release day midnight.  But I got a suggestion, if you haven't read the Halo books, read those, after that play Halo 1 story again and then Halo 2.  You will enjoy Halo 3 so much more :Dxelloss88

Totally right. Reading the books gives you so much knowledge of what is actually going on in the game. It makes the game a hundred times better. The books are very good by the way.

I myself being a die-hard Halo series fan will be playing the single player campaign mode first. Then I will probably beat the game with a friend, and then after all that I will be smashing my victims on X-Box Live. What about you guys?
