I'm thinking of upgrading my graphics card, but I'm on XP and don't really want to migrate to Vista yet. My question is, would a 8800GTX improve a lot over my current 7800GTX in XP?
Thanks!

[QUOTE="Zetler"]Ok...AgentH obviously have a crappy comp and doesn't know WTH he's talking about. I have happen to have both versions, and while I enjoy them on both platform its obvious which version is better. The PC is a clear choice, if your comp is up to it.
Download the demo http://www.fileplanet.com/180530/180000/fileinfo/Call-of-Duty-4-Demo if it plays at roughly 35-40 fps then get it for your PC. The PC version is king, sporting better textures, controls and depth of field that isn't nearly as annoying and blurry. The mulitplayer is also better thanks to dedicated servers, a browser, and of course...mods. The PC version isn't just $10 cheaper, you can buy it now for $35-40 in some places. AgentH
Listen to me, graphics won't change the way the game is played. In COD4 I enjoyed playing it with the controller. COD4 with keyboard and mouse = JUNK (This goes with the controls of COD4 only and not other FPS games)
Hmm, interesting. I'm leaning slightly towards the PC version. Can you tell me specifically what the control issue is? Are there lots of buttons or something?
Thanks to all for your thoughts!
Anyone played COD4 on PC and PS3?I can't decide which to get it on. My PC rig is pretty decent, probably a bit behind my PS3 though, but on the other hand I have only wireless connection to PS3 which drops sometimes.
Not sure about the controls either. Probably better keyboard/ mouse, but if it's more designed for consoles then maybe not.
Any thoughts?
Has no-one else had this problem? Could someone tell me if they have the title and it works fine please?
Thanks!
Please help somebody-
I have been playing Factions (although I have prophecies too) and I had an A/Rt. Somehow I "turned off" the Rt skills (I vaguely remember doing it) and now I just show up as an A and I don't have any access to Rt skills.
I know when I complete the game I can go to the temple of Balthazar and change my secondary there, but playing with one profession, while rewarding, is tough (few heal or protection spells).
Any advice?
