33 and going strong! I dont ever feel like you have to give up a hobby like this. Age doesnt mean squat on Live. You just play.

My friends who have COD4 are below 1.00 kill ratio which kinda sucks for me because I basically have no one I know that is good or better than me. Spartans_317

Solution: get new friends! LOL ... Send me a friend request. I'm about 1.3 and raising it up. I hear ya on feeling weird when moving from one shooter to another. Physics are always different. I'm afraid to even play Halo 3 for fear I will die 50 times before getting a kill.

Since the game is awesome, I don't really mind paying for the maps. The replay value is worth it. What can you do? Wait 6 months until they give them away for free? Screw that noise.

The best single player experience I've seen is Oblivion. The add ons combined with the game will give you about 80-100 hours of gameplay. My friend, that is bang for the buck.

33...Gone from Atari 2600 to Commodore 64/ColecoVision to the original Nintendo, SNES, and now own a 360, which is my only console. The Wii just doesnt excite me.

Yeah, I'd like it to where you can effectivey team up and some go for the flags while others cover and just try and wreak havoc on the other team so we can hold those flags. But too many people are in it for themselves, which is why my wins to losses ratio is terrible. That and the fact that I'll get dropped into a match only to lose it 8 seconds later. Damn it.

[QUOTE="DntH8me"]

[QUOTE="celtic1962"]Eh, you're all still a bunch of kids:P I'm 45 and still an avid gamer with three kids naturally following in my footsteps and fortunately a wife that would rather have me at home gaming than hanging out at Moe's Tavern with beer buddies:lol: Anyways, I go by celtic1962 on my gamertag as well so anyone feel free to add me!MsCortana

Now that's funny.....what children don't understand about older gamers is......as you age you get a bigger budget, to buy bigger better games.....That 1080p HD tv you dream about having your parents "buy" for their spoiled, disrespectful offspring (a small rant there) Us older gamers can charge into Circuit City or BestBuy or where ever and ask is it instock and can it be installed by Friday, and for the DIY's like my self load it on your truck and hook it up yourself. So as for now I look forward to being an even older gamer and relish how my kinds won't have to convince me about how cool some game is---IT will be more like can I play after I do my homework?

:lol:...couldn't have stated it better myself!

Amen to that. Being older and married or whatnot doesn't mean you've lost touch. Games have been a part of my life for well over 20 years. Why give that up? Besides, nothing more satisfying than shutting up a young one who lets his mouth outrun his brain.
