Yeah, I'm set with the monitor and OS....

I just dont know what specific pieces to get. If they will be obsolete due to W7, should I wait?

I mean, I have NO idea what to get.

It could be just as simple as "I have porn on here, and dont want to risk you seeing it. So step away from my PC."

Hi, I'm going to attempt to build my own PC for the first time.

I can spend ~$1000, and want to be able to play games at a high (not highest, cuz I'm told that is impossible regardless of hardware) level of detail.

The W7 launch has totally confused me and I'm not even sure where to begin... other than newegg.com

any help would be appreciated!

PS how is there not a sticky thread re: I want to build a PC?

Install TVersity on your PC and then you can stream pretty much any video format over your network onto your PS3.

I'll look into that as soon as I get home. Good call.

Howdy, I'm fairly new around here and wasnt sure if this should go in the PC or PS3 forums...

Anywho, I'm going to be getting a new laptop or PC after the windows 7 launch. My question is if there are any specific benefits to having a PC + PS3 set up in my living room? The PS3 seems to be able to handle everything i've thrown at it so far in terms of web, photos, music, gaming... so what, if any, benefit would hooking up a PC to my PS3 offer?

Basically, I have been a Nintendo-phile my whole entire 31 years on this planet, and just got a PS3 two weeks ago as my first non-nintendo console ever... and i love it. It is the best non-car or vacation purchase I've ever made. And now I'm trying to resist the urges to go all sony (tv, vaio, etc).

Thanks peeps, and I'm glad to have found gamespot!

MLB The Show. By a wide margin it is the best of those 3 games.
