No doubt about it, video games are fun. They can provided you with hours of entertainment and enough content to make you go though it again and again.
Do games really live up to there $60 of more price tag?
On average a new game is released at $59.99. You pick it up and play it and beat it within a sold 10 hours. Now was that game really worth the $60 plus dollars (tax included) you spent on it?
I bought Ninja Blade when it came out. The game was pretty fun and I enjoyed it, but I didn't feel as if it was worth the price. It took me about 11 to 12 hours to complete and I had unlocked a large part of the achievements.
I had bought Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty World at War at there full price when they came out. Those games where definitely worth it, manily for their high replay factor. They're online multiplayer with several different modes and is different each time you play it and can continue to play it up for a year and still have a good time with it.
Ninja Blade wasn't worth the $60 i put out for it. After I finished it there wasn't enough worthy of a second play through. Left for Dead and Call of Duty I can play for months on end and have a good time with it.
Maybe it's because I'm grown and all and my parents aren't the ones buying my games but I think there should be a panel that plays the games and decides what they are worth. Because I know a lot of those movie based games aren't worth $60 I don't care what it is. $30 or even $40 wouldn't be bad for some games.

New work schedule means more gaming time.

I love my job i truly do. I work with some of the best and funnest people ever.
After 2 almost two years of working with my company. I'm finally getting a new schedule which mean different days and different hours.
When i first started working i was just part time. i worked Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 10. Which wasnt really bad. Cuz i still had plenty of time to play video games. At that time all i had was a PS2 and Gamecube. Back in August of 2008 when i made full time they added Friday's to my schedule and i was coming in at 1:00pm still staying till 10:00pm. Te celebrate i went and bought me a new video game system; the Xbox 360. With the new system i just wanted to play and play but with work the way it was when id get home i was too tired to even figure out what to play. I'd buy games and never give them the attention that i usually give them. Although i was off Monday and Tuesday with it being the week i was running errands and gettin bills paid.
Now with the new year here I finally have the weekends off, and no longer have to work late into the night. Unless I'm covering football, basketball, any other sporting event, or event that happens late. So finally i can take the time and beat the 6 or 7 games that i have that i just never got a chance to play and hope on-line and hone in on my skills. This is gonna be fun.

End of my first year with my 360

I remember it was a Saturday, I just got my credit card in the mail with its $500 credit limit. I have been pondering a while which system to get and i finally settled on getting a 60gig 360. I went to Gamestop and bought it along with Eternal Sonata. Went home had like and hour before i went to work so i set it up and took a look at it for a bit then went to work waiting to get back and spend more time with it, and when i did i was very proud of my decision. But don't get me wrong i would like to own the PS3 and Wii as well. (I'm not like a lot of Fanboys and girls out there. is there really any point to that.)
Looking back on my 4 months with it they have been wonderful. I've played many great games and had tons of fun online. I bought a nice LCD TV so that i can play in High-Def. For a while i wasn't able to play games like i wanted to because of work. So i would have a game start playing it then have a hard time getting back to it. But now that High School Football Post-Season is over i will have more time to play and try my best to raise my Gamerscore to where it should be.
The last 4 months were good im sure the next 4 will be even better. Christmas is here so i have to spread the Xbox fun buy giving one to my sister for Christmas. (She has no idea and will be shocked)
Well until next time i see ya online and remember, you haven't started gaming until you PRESS START!!!!
