I'm not sure if video games are good at storytelling but I'm sure of this... Most video games have a story, and that story, for me, is one of the main reasons that makes me want to keep on playing. I think it's kind of like reading a book. If you find yourself immersed and/or intrigued by the story, you'll want to keep playing just to find out what's gonna happen next. Some of those stories, like the God Of War series, are amazing, like a poster before me stated. So who really knows if it's good or not but I think the story is the driving force behind a some games and gamers to playing and finishing a game.
