A big problem that can't be fixed.

My big problem that I have is that where I live... there is no option for cable/DSL. Probably not a lot of people on this website have the same problem as me. It seems that a majority of you use Xbox Live or PSN. My household uses satellite internet... which isn't compatible with Xbox Live. I have three complaints with satellite internet:

1) I can't have Xbox Live. I have a lot of games that would be really fun on Live (Rainbow Six Vegas, Halo 2, etc.) but I am forced to play the single player campaign because I live with only my parents pretty much the whole time. I also cant play online games on my PC.

2) Download speeds SUCK!!! I recently built a gaming PC and I was hoping to download some demos before i bought them... oh was I wrong. The download time for a demo like Battlefield 2 is like 5 hours or something. And now that file sizes are getting bigger for downloads (Isn't DiRT like 800MBs?) that just means more download time. One time we went to a download speed test website (toast.net i think) and tested the download speed. We were below 28kb dial-up speed. My family don't pay like $50 a month for that

Oh speaking of downloads... here's complaint number 3) There is a limit on what you can download. It seems if you download too much... they make your internet not work for the day or longer. THIS IS FREAKING FASCIST!

Now pretty much our only option is to wait for cable/DSL companies to pull their heads out of their asses and bring cable/DSL out to my area. Or we could also pay a T1 company to send out an unmetered T1 line. This would be awesome to play online games with and would really help with my mom's business. The only downside is that it is $350 a month. There is no way that we could pay that. Unless we have like six other people help pay for it in our area.

Well I guess that I'm just gonna have to suffer through satellite internet. But maybe not for long... I hope to see you guys on Live in the near future.
