@Zero_epyon: This gen was mostly about PC. Most games were designed for PC first because consoles had PC architecture and PC market itself became bigger than all console markets combined. Last gen PC used to get 360 ports. Of course in both cases there were always some exceptions. As for devs like Blizzard, Valve and CDPR... They always go extra mile for PC crowd because they've been PC centric for way too long.
Ps: Witcher 2 did get 360 port but it was pretty underwhelming compared to PC version. It was like playing original Crysis or Wing Commander on consoles.
Console gamers are not only giving bad user scores on console metacritic pages but also bringing down PC average score to give bad impression. Pathetic.
Resident Evil. Stealth games already existed before MGS. Same goes for cinematic storytelling (Wing Commander 4 had around 4 hours of cutscenes in 1996 and WC 3 had between 2 to 3 hours of cutscenes in 94, and these were games were better written too). RE made Zombie genre famous and it also had influence over Hollywood. BTW if you don't know I'm playing both WC and MGS again these days, since the latter just came out on GOG. So I know what I'm talking about. These are one of the greatest games ever but not without their flaws and some forced dialogues and out of place emotional melodrama.
Would love to play MGS 4 again, this time on PC. It's already playable on emulators but they are way too demanding atm. Gotta say, the game still looks great. Lower resolutions on PS3 didn't do it justice. Native ports on PS5 and PC will really make it shine.
