Finally bought my PC parts!!!

I have been telling friends that I would build a PC when I get a large sum of money for years now. I always ended up spending the cash on other stuff. Mostly because the thought of actually putting together a computer scared the crap out of me. I was going to buy prebuilt some time ago, but people said it wasn't worth it, so I finally took the plunge and purchased the parts.

I still don't know what the hell I'm going to do when everything arrives and it's time to put it together, but I'm hoping youtube and my cousin will be able to help me get through it. I'm pretty excited though that I'm finally going to be able to play the Total War/Civ/Sims 3/etc now!

Favorite Games For Each Console of This Gen

I realized it's been around 2 years since I posted on this blog, so here goes my 3 favorite games for each console.

1.

This game is not as good as it's predecessor, is more restrictive with it's exploring, and could of been much better. But what can I say. I am a sucker for the Tales series. Despite it's shortcomings, I still enjoyed it quite a bit. Also, for the most part, I'm not that harsh with games. I do wish they could of got the old voice actors back though.

2.

Oh man. I will admit that I am not the biggest fan of platformers. Probably cause I suck really bad at them. But this game is just platforming bliss. I think the 10 on this site is fully deserved. The original was great, but Nintendo managed to make the sequel superior in every way. Great graphics, awesome music, original levels. It's the new standard for Platforming games.

3.

I remember this game being hard as hell at the beginning, but it got easier over time. My favorite turn based strategy franchise right here and the one that got me into the genre in the first place. Like Dawn of the New World, there are better games in the series, but I just love Fire Emblem so much.

1.

This game always gets bashed on for it's super long cutscenes, but personally I love them. They are just fun to watch. I remember I would always anticipate the next fight with the beast's cause of the story Drebin would tell you about each of them afterwards. MGS4 is a great conclusion to Solid Snake's story with a truly EPIC ending. The whole game was Epic actually.

2.

One of the best sequels ever. So many awesome moments in this game. Naughty Dog did a good job making this game a beast in all areas. It has a nice story, great music, variety in the gameplay, amazing environments, awesome characters, the BEST graphics on any console, good platforming, and multiplayer this time around, although I have not tried it out yet. Beastly game.

3.

Before I say anything else, I love this games artsty1e It's like a moving watercolor painting. This is one of my favorite strategy games, right up there with Fire Emblem. It's battle system is unique because you can actually control the unit and run around the map in a third person view. This allows you to make great use of the envroment. I have never played a turn based strategy game like this before. VC 2 is on PSP though and 3 will be on the PSP also. I don't see myself getting a PSP at this point. I guess it didn't sell enough on PS3 to have sequels on it. Why didn't you guyz buy this!!!!!??!!!

1.

I love how over the top this game is. How you hear that popping sound when you snipe someone in the head, curbstomping people, CHAINSAWING fools in half. It's great. This game basically started the game mode where wave after wave of enemies come and you try to survive as long as possible. It's calles Horde and it's crazy fun. I am very happy that this game has co-op campaign. I played through it with my brother and we had a blast. More games need co-op where you can play through the whole campaign instead of seperate co-op missions. And the best thing of all. You get to go inside a giant worm. Nuff said...

2.

Ahhh Lost Odyssey. I think this game could be hate it or love it because people might be turned off by it's battle system. It uses the traditional turn based battle system, which some may find boring. It shakes things up a little with Rings and Immortals. You equip rings with different effects for different situations in battle. Immortals do not learn skills by leveling, but by linking with the mortals. Immortals even come back to life by themselves after a few turns, which is awesome. The story was pretty good as well, but one of the best things about this game are the dreams from the "A Thousand Years of Dreams" sequences. These stories from the dreams are Amazing! Also the character Jansen had me cracking up throughout most of the game. It has a bunch of content and One of my favorite RPG's of this gen.

3.

This is one of the best Tales of games so far. I would say the best, but I can't decide between this and Tales of the Abyss. I know for a fact though, that it has the best battle system. This game is longer then expected. I was actually wondering when it was going to end at one point. There is quite a large amount of sidequests. I really love Tales of sidequests because they are usually funny as hell. The skits are great also and they are voiced in this one! Finally Namco. I just really love this series and Vesperia is Tales of at it's best.

Team Fortress 2 Is Awesome!

When I first got this game I would play it costently. When I would go to sleep I would think about playing it the next day. lol that's kind of weird. Anyway, Im not as obsessed with it now as I was when I first got it, but I still think it's one of the funnest and Greatest Online games EVER.

I haven't felt like this since I first played Super Smash Bros. Melee. Oh and that reminds me. BRAWL IS ALMOST HERE! I can't wait for that. I also gotta try COD4. I heard the multiplayer is really good for that too. Man, all this talk about MP makes me want to play a Good ol long and epic RPG. Lost Odyssey, you will soon be mine.
