MS rumour - We've already decided UWP is a monumental failure and apologises. PC users can go back to stable platform deliveries without further broken delivery systems.
"Hey we had a store, we tried something new and it didn't work. Sorry for the sub-par performance guys. Won't happen again"
I for one am glad this chip brings no advantage to gaming. Makes me feel much better about not being able to afford it and thus makes it easy to ignore.
@dominoodle: I definitely value gameplay and mechanics over a story too, but every now and then some things tend to jump out at you and once noticed can't be unnoticed.
It's like using candles and lit fire sconces as light sources in "ancient ruins/abandoned dungeons/monster lair" (oblivion, Skyrim etc) where you are supposedly the first living visitor in years or millennia. If you are the first to visit, who the hell lit all the candles and torches? It's only a minor thing but after a while the logic fail can really start annoying you.
@dominoodle:It may be a video game but when going for a quasi 'realistic world' it's little logic incongruities like hackable muscle cars that are often jarring and ultimately detract from the overall immersion.
Retrofitting ctOS devices in old tech would be a "believable" enough loophole if acknowledged, which hopefully it is. Zero acknowledgement however reeks of oversight and goes beyond our expected willingness to engage in enough "suspension of belief" to turn the fantastical into plausibility.
This is getting silly - remastering a 5 year old game? Unless it's a completely new and vastly superior engine to the tired old thing that Fallout 4 was using and has 100% new content, then forget it.
