Is it just me or do professional game reviews seem to be to forgiving at times? I see these reviews for the big ticket games point out shortcomings that "should not stop you from buying" that they mercilessly rip into other games for. Repetitive level design? Check! Weak stories? Check! Inconsistently great graphics Check! Terrible music/sound? Check! Clunky/Clumsy gameplay? Check! 9.5 here. 3.0 there. What's the deal with the favortism that I tend to see?
