OK, I can't hold it in any longer. I want a Wii. No.. infact, I NEED a Wii and I NEED it now. Seriously, I've never been a big supporter of Nintendo. Sure, I loved the old Super Nintendo and Gameboy color days but those were pretty much the only products I've bought from Nintendo, so it's been at least 7 years from now that I've been able to call a Nintendo product my own. I currently own a 360, and trust me, I love it. It's the best thing to feed my game cravings since I actually built my first decent gaming PC a year ago. But I've been looking for forms of digital entertainment outside of the 360, again, I still love my 360 but almost my entire collection is built up of shooting something and I just feel like I need a change. Just a fun game to play and relax to with friends and family and what better than the cheap, extremely versatile and totally enjoyable gaming console that we have come to know as the Nintendo Wii.
I've got cash to burn but unfortunetely the world hasn't been very kind to me and can't seem to find a Wii anywhere, I've checked it virtually all over the city. Every Gamestop, Best Buy, EBGames, etc. No where. But of course I spent some time searching online but to little avail. Sure, there are plenty of these systems for sale, I'm just not willing to pay an extra $150 to get it. I want it bad, just not that bad that I'd be willing to throw away literally that extra moola. Now believe me here, this is not just one of those feelings I get one night where I go insane for a product then the next morning I get a little taste of reality and say to myself, "What was I thinking? I don't want this...". This is something I've been daydreaming and anticipating for endlessly since...oh well, Christmas. And as every waking moment and day passes by, my cravings get only worse and one day I fear I may go insane from not holding a Wii in my hands that I can call my own.
It doesn't appear to be getting any better as I look up and read more about these amazing games such as Zelda: Twilight Princess, WarioWare, Wii Sports (of course a given), Super Mario Bros., etc. The list goes on and on, there are just too many great games to go out and get so maybe you can relate, maybe you can't. This is something that has been my mind for granted, three months, but a very, very long three months at that. This is not the end of my long hunt though, I vow to get myself a Wii by the end of this month if it's the last thing I do!! Updates to come...
On a lighter note...my gamerscore is now at 9995!! 5 more points to the wonderful 10k, and yes, I am a nerd for caring so much about my gamerscore but you know what they say, "A 1,000 gamerscore equates to one inch, how long is your gamerscore?".

New games!

So I was just browsing through Amazon.com for anything that might catch my eye, wasn't really looking into the games but came across one when it was under my 'recommendation list'. So I checked it out and it was Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Not a game I'm too excited about but I saw a seller have it up for sale for a mere $50, brand new and factory sealed. Great, so I took the liberty of adding it to my shopping cart then what do you know, right as I add it to my shopping cart, Amazon shows me a few more games saying that I might like these items from what I added to my cart. Great, so again I'm just looking around some more and find great deals, all factory sealed and new for as much as $10-20 less than Amazon sells for. Granted, I'm not the most optimistic customer when it comes to buying from various sellers and not a single, reputable company such as Amazon but the savings were too good to pass up. Next thing you know, I've got Lost Planet, Call of Duty 3, R6: Vegas, GRAW, and Double Agent in my cart, all at prices I couldn't help but resist.
So it's done, no turning back now. Spent a good chunk of money I was hoping to spend maybe on a Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty for my PC but hey, this'll do and I'm happy.
