I was wondering if there's a big difference between onboard sound and a sound card. By sound card I mean a relatively cheap one, like ~$50. The onboard I currently have is Sigmatel Onboard.
I've been researching on speakers, and I"ve noticed that some subwoofers are not magnetically shielded, so the instructions tell you to put it at least X feet away from your computer. Is it ok if you have a barrier between the two, or will magnetic stuff still go through the barrier? (A barrier as in a 2-finger width wooden wall thing)
I've been thinking of getting new speakers lately, and i've been looking at the Logitech Z-5300e and the Z-5500. I've read reviews and both look really good, however the Z-5500 appears to be better, but it is also $100 more expensive. I'm wondering if the Z-5500 is worth it, or is the Z-5300e a better performer for the price?
I have an 8800gts 320mb, and I was wondering what resolution it could go to without experiencing drops in fps. I might be getting a new monitor, and I don't plan to upgrade my video card for a while, so I don't want to get too good of a monitor and not be able to play at it's maximum resolution.
