@max-hit @colt_a You've been posting on this comment thread for over an hour, but don't have the time to read a comment that takes two minutes to read.

Pretty much says "I have nothing to argue against that point".

@Harxelithn @max-hit People who don't understand LoL mechanics accuse it of being "Pay to Win" because you don't start out with every champion.

In some MOBAs (like DotA) heroes can directly counter other heroes and make it literally impossible to have an impact on the game.

LoL doesn't have champs that do that, but since people don't understand that, they accuse LoL of being Pay 2 Win.

@max-hit @colt_a You are one of the key people here I'm talking about. You can scroll down here and see how you keep saying the game is perfect, etc. You are either a fanboi, and not objective at all. Or being paid, and not objective at all. Also, its not bribery, many companies hire people to go to forums, reddit, etc to say good things about their game. Its not bribery, its a job. But it does invalidate their opinion.

Updated engine and graphics, yes, from Warcraft 3. Just because a game is a mod of another game, doesn't mean it doesn't have an engine or graphics. DotA 1 was a game, whether you like to call it that or not. DotA 2 is that very same game with a very much needed update of graphics and engine mechanics.

Regardless, you are just distracting from the point. Does it need its own client / engine / plugin to steamworks etc? Yes, of course. But DotA 2 is DotA 1 SO MUCH that things that were bugs as a result of the Warcraft 3 engine are still in DotA 2. Because 'that's how its played now'. Icefrog will never actually bring real change to the genre. That is DotA's key flaw, a complete lack of innovation since its inception. Its the same reason why Starcraft's pro scene and playership is dwindling (SC2 did the same thing DotA 2 has done and changed very little), and LoL's is skyrocketing (40+ million accounts, biggest eSport in the world now).

TLDR: DOTA 2 is a good game. I think it takes more mechanical skill to be successful, and that appeals to many players. However, it suffers from having virtually no changes that aren't superficial in over a decade (outside of more heroes) and stale gameplay leads to people getting bored. It will always have a community (obviously people like yourself) but it will always be a limited one until progress is made.

@max-hit No they couldn't. Not when every other MOBA is free.

@leviathanwing @Geardudu @kiramasaki Not really. Look up the word semantics and come back.

RPG and Fight maker limit you to what type of game you can make.

To me, this was the game with the most potential at E3.

Too bad its limited to Windows 8, no one is going to use it.

All these people saying DotA 2 is "perfect" and "flawless" you can tell are either paid to do so, or have never played another game in their life.

DotA 2 is a great game. I like watching it as an eSport and playing occasionally...but these words you guys keep using discredit yourselves. No MOBA is perfect. Especially one such as DotA, that has kept the same exact game for over a decade now, just now with updated engine and graphics.

@EL_Bomberdor They don't get paid to interact with the fans. Their paycheck from Riot is to play the game. They choose to interact.
