Really, its that attitude that has made Blizzard games decline over years, because its the same attitude they hold towards the consumer as well.

@hishamramzan EA isn't the company that 'makes' those games. Hard working developers that EA buys out and forces into terrible working conditions...make those games.

EA can get sold and maybe those developers will get treated like human beings, and you'd likely get higher quality products from each franchise.

These numbers mean nothing for any specific console maker. It means that people are waiting for next gen. Period. Your personal opinion doesn't really matter. If people weren't playing the Xbox, the XBL subscriptions wouldn't have went up by 15% and their profits from XBL Gold subs wouldn't have gone up. You're opinion is null and void.

@lazycomplife Steam gets 30%ish of all game sales it makes, and the biggest portion of PC games sold, are through steam. That's how.

@Mozuckint My friend that moved to Austin knows a former employee of Bioware Austin (was hit by the first round of layoffs). They all knew it was coming, but people want a steady paycheck and they ride it out. If they get a pink slip, then they get a decent amount in unemployment at their pay grade. Paid vacation while they secure another job.

He also said that SWTOR active player base went down to about 600k or so after the first month. While they can say techinically that they have a million subs, that's only because most of those bought 3-6 month subs and they got 1 month free. Their active player base is absolute crap though. Look for the next sub announcement to be 600ish K, if not lower.

@mechmaster525 EA forces games to release early and release with less content so they can sell more DLC later. So no matter what, if its under EA it won't be as good as if it was under someone else.
