@grim0187 Where are your numbers or facts? You can't use the sales numbers because that's before people played it.
Please, don't use the words "a lot" because you and your 4 buddies liked it. General response to the game is a negative one on most gaming sites. Including the ME Reddit where 10s of thousands of ME players converge to discuss the game.
@RandomRespawn Except now developers make incomplete games where you have to pay for DLC to get the proper endings (no I'm not just talking about Mass Effect).
@weaslerz Its plain bad story telling. I'm not going to go on to talk about why due to spoilers, but any professional writer that doesn't work for Bioware (well, some of them that do will even tell you) that Star Child is the worst thing to happen to a story.
Its like if Lord of the Rings ended with Tom Bombidil appearing and saying "No you can't destroy the ring, that's not what you've been doing for three books". Its simply bad writing.
Hudson and Walters shut out the entire Bioware writing team for the ending (this has been reported as fact) so that they could simply copy/paste the Dues Ex ending (They had the same Destroy, Merge, or Control choice...at least they had different endings..) without any input.
I'm not saying some people won't be appeased by the crumb they are being thrown, but anyone who has even taken a novice level writing class knows that the story is fubar, and can't be recovered without a rewrite. That's why professional writers have editors, instead of lead writers that just do whatever they want.
@weaslerz Except they didn't listen to the fans at all. There are key things that destroy the story and the experience (Star Child) but they won't remove it and change the ending. Instead they "explain" it better.
I WONT be downloading it, because they already said they don't care what the fans think, they will be doing the ending how they want (again).
To put in a Mass Effect reference, this signal's Bioware's full indoctrination by EA to where they no longer care about quality, only about money and good press. To sell this 'extended cut' would generate bad press is the only reason we aren't paying 15 dollars for this.
I don't understand why they didn't roll with Karypshan's original ending for the game (you know, the creator of this universe, he might know something).
