@Tsuchikage They are riding a wave of remakes of the same series. People are getting tired of them. They are as high as they can be right now. WoW has been hemoraging subs for the last year now. Also quality of games on Activision and Blizzard's side has been going down. The company has no place but down to go. Basic economics. Buy low, sell high.

This E3 has actually had more titles to strike interest than the last few. New original IPs like Watch Dogs, Dishonored and The Last of Us just to name a few. Violence is apart of a lot of video games. Get over it. Maybe you are in the wrong industry. Or you need to go and be a sports game reviewer.
Also Brendan, please check your facts. The 3 million number from KoA: Reckoning was only an (ill informed) opinion of the Gov of Rhode Island (which its been more than proven he was out to screw 38 Studios). If you were a bit more involved with what's going on in the industry, or even follow up on what you and your company write, maybe you'd know this.
@alext_b While I like PC the best, as long as their are any good console exclusives (they are dwindling though) we have to accept that consoles are a full entertainment system now as they are trying to appeal to entire families who are on smaller budgets than ever.
@Savoritias That's why the PS3's has half the number of games as the 360 and is ridicously hard to develop for in comparison to the rest of the consoles. Because they had a gaming first mentality.....I'm not saying one or the other is better. I have all consoles + PC. But these type of comments only spark a stupid flame war that makes no sense. ALL Consoles are in it to be an entertainment system. They want to appeal to entire families because its a steep investment (especially when they get their next gen stuff out) and in this economy its hard to justify spending 600 dollars for something only little Timmy will use.
@javalino Microsoft would be more likely to leave out Apple and make it Android/Windows only, as Apple is their primary competitor in everything. Apple also charges for making FREE APPS on their devices. The other two platforms are completely free to develop for.
@Victorious_Fize Except that one article where he called consumers entitled and damaging to the industry because we don't accept his views on ME3 and the Doom 3 remake. If it was a single opinion peice, its fine. But he felt the need to put a simliar article up again, a month later, just to stir the pot more. So I wouldn't be singing his praises and an objective journalist.However, this article is spot on. E3 has been losing relevance for years. There are other expos, including the much more followed PAX. Some places also have their own events too (Blizzcon, etc)
The PAX events have far surpassed every other convention in my opinion. They seem to almost always have every major developer there, some esports tourneys, concerts, etc. Penny Arcade knows how to throw an expo and want to get everyone to go. Hence why their tickets sold out in hours.
@ocsgabe It does seem that most of this generation has a hard time with expressing themselves in full sentences. But that's a topic for another day. Yea, my major problem is that the piece has been done over and over. I wasn't so angry the first time.As for the doom 3 thing. I don't see why so many people are upset that they are changing it. If its a deal breaker for you, why not play the original? I liked the original just the way it was, so I have no interest in buying the new edition. It sounds like they are trying to appeal to people who wanted more of a regular shooter and not a horror shooter that Doom 3 was.
@Poodger @illegalChronic Its also worth noting that DotA 2 doesn't need the LoL crowd to be successful. They just need a slice of the competitive crowd + the old DotA community and it will be just fine.
