@stan_boyd @david1230 @crazymann888 The difference in this is, its OPTIONAL. You can play the original Doom 3 if you don't like the changes. Why should you care if someone else gets a different experience. They are trying to make more money, so without changing anything...why should anyone pay them again?

@jamyskis @chilly-chill Saying: "The End" is not closure. Especially when you introduce new elements, butcher previous canon and other characters are making nonsense decisions (Joker fleeing the battle?) and many other things that simply don't make sense. That's not an ending. That's "we ran out of money and time guys, just throw this up"

News: The more game websites call the gaming audience "irrelevant" the more we look to different sources of news. At this point you are just naming off key flaws and saying YOU SHOULD LIKE IT, ITS ART. Guess what? No, its not. Especially remakes and sequels.

Big corporations are in gaming just to milk the money. Not to make art. Stop trying to act like gaming is a sacred artform. It was 15 years ago, now its just like the film industry. For every movie you can name that is "Art" I can name 10 that are clearly cash in movies. THE SAME THING APPLIES TO VIDEO GAMES. Remaking Doom 3 from years ago is not art. It's a cash in. SO THEY BETTER IMPROVE THE DAMN GAME. According to the writer of this article, they should just release the game with no changes and hope people are dumb enough to buy it again?

As for ME3, you've already tried alienating your audience on this several times, and we will never think you right. So why don't you just shut up about it. We don't get to play whatever games we want because we work in the game press. We actually have to pay for our games.

Seriously Gamespot, the more articles like this you have, the more you are turning your own audience against you.

@kindredmachine Was cracked and had emulated servers within days. In fact, despite me owning the game, I have a full different install to play on them because Battle.Net is always going down, or ridiculously laggy. It did nothing to prevent piracy. It did everything to help their Real Money Auction House.

@JimmeyBurrows Except now that people that use Kickstarter (like Wasteland 2) are still getting in bed with EA, making it pointless. They also refuse to refund any donation/investment of people not wanting to support Origin.

This story alone is starting a wave of anti-kickstarter media because people are realizing that they are investing the money, but getting none of the say (unlike traditional investing).

People were donating on kickstarter so they WOULD NOT have to support EA/Activision. Now they don't have a choice. They have your money and they will put the product on Origin. While its free for 3 months, they will be paying money to EA eventually. Thus, the people trying to avoid supporting EA, are now indirectly supporting EA.

Its a shame that a lot of other indie developers will suffer because many won't use kickstarter anymore.
