If this is exclusive to Origin, I want my kickstarter donation back. I don't care if I get a DRM free copy or not. I refuse to support anything that uses Origin.
@King9999 Its hard to not say something about someone who has terrible analogies, bad articles, misleading titles, etc. She's the only writer on Gamespot that I know of (a very long time member) that has earned this much ire of the community. She is simply out of touch and doesn't have a clue that sometimes the best thing you can say (or write in her case) is nothing at all.
@Enterprise-E It is in part the consumers fault. A big part of it. Its part American culture's fault for putting the idea of "just because you can, you should" when it comes to making money, partially the developers fault (they could go to smaller publishers) and finally the publishers fault for taking advantage. A few extra bucks for Bobby Kotick or any other big CEO is worth destroying something that brings happiness and entertainment so many? That's just not having any integrity. There's a difference between keeping a healthy business and being greedy.
@Enterprise-E @deedaw Thats why things like Kickstarter are amazing. Many good games and projects are being funded without the developers having to sacrifice vision and talent. I'm not saying that EA, Activision and Ubisoft are 100% bad, I'm saying when it comes down to it, they have no problem with ruining something for profit.
@ant2967 @Aftermath91 @deedaw Ha, I'm almost definitely older than you kid. I worked and paid for everything I ever got. I didn't have Mommy get me my cellphone etc like kids these days. Anyone can look at your posts throughout this article and see your distinct lack of education on the subject. Go back to playing Battlefield 3 and let the adults talk about things that use our brains.
@Enterprise-E Its kinda how people realize having a double bacon cheeseburger with extra bacon and cheese is bad for you, but do it anyway. And look at America's obesity rate....
