Ok, being a homer is one thing, but this takes the cake, honestly I don't know how Weinke is still on the team, he's that bad. I think I could lead a comeback against the Lions. Their defense couldn't stop a standing train.
You guys are also forgetting about the Falcon's other QB, recently drafted rookie QB, DJ Shockley. Although he was a late-drafted rookie, he shows good velocity and good movement in the pocket. In a couple of year, he can grow to be a very potent backup, or even a decent starter.
Odell Thurman could become a top tier defenseman in the next year or so. This is very bad for the Bengals because not only do they lose a top starting linebacker, but they lose a chance to give him early experience too.
Give him a rookie minimum one year contract and you can cut him at any time. No loss and no hurt to the salary cap. Marcus Vick would be a top 25 pick if he stayed in shcool for his junior year so taking a chance on him would be worth it.
