1. What's the deal with Polygon? I don't remember them even exist much less being a media power they are now 6 months ago? Are they a new site? Are they an old site that got a massive boost? Where did all of their new found influence come from?
2. I see people using the word narrative to describe everything that's happening. That companies are selling us a story and stuff like that. I agree but, where did this term usage come from? The first time I actively remeber someone using it was Adam Sessler and his Don't Preorder Anything Yet video and some other stuff before that even. Have the mass media been using this termonology for a long time? Or just recently? Or at least using it this wide spread.

Just a little look back on the life of the PS3. My top 3 has to be...

1. (2008) Qore, I remeber all the hype for that and how awesome I thought/think it was. I'll probably never watch them again and let them stay awesome in my memories.
2. ( 2007 ) The Old, OLD, PS store. Wow was that bad! It had a mouse cursor and everything. And then the store went down for a whole month while content was being transfered or something to the new store.
3. ( 2010 ) ApocolyPS3. I'm sure there's still the forum thread around here somewhere. Hundreds of pages of panic and mayhem and hilarity.

  • The LBP Beta. When it ended, everything actually stayed up until you completely quit out the game. I kept my PS3 on for about 2 days.
  • Metal Gear Online. Nuff said.

I know there has to be tons of those articles but, I just don't know what to search for to find them. Stuff like, how would a modern force with jets and rifles win against a WWII army. Or the Civil War. Y'know, stuff like that.

Not really a "feature" per se. But I turned on my PS3 this morning with Remote Play and noticed a VASTLY better looking picture. It seems like the pixels the PS3 projecting now match the pixels on the PSP screen. I use Remote Play quite alot and with different setting most times. It just shocked me how much better it looked. So I think I'm gonna add to the feature list.

I'm going on a 12 hour plane trip with a very mediocre battery. I'm staring down Mercury Meltdown but I don't know about the battery toll. Yes iI have Echochrome and that's coming with me also. But, any games that fit those specifications would be a huge help to me. Also PS1 Games take up a fair bit of battery.

It looks like it is pretty fun. I just have a hard time believing it's $15 of fun.guynamedbilly
