seeing stuff like this just pisses me off. Its a 7.5. Still a good game, there are just a few things wrong with it. Grow Up.

everytime something Nintendo gets Under a 9 everyone claims "ZOMG GAMESPOT HATES NINTENDO"

1. Why the F*** do you care about someone elses opinion?

2. That is extremely Ignorant to say.

Melee doesnt Deserve a 9. The Single Player is repetitive, the Multiplayer while Fantastic isnt anywhere near flawless. Just because people play it like slaves to the grind doesn't mean that it deserves a certain score. Frankly i don't like melee because it just gets old after an hour or so. But hell to each his own.

Quit Complaining and play your god damn Wii like nintendo wants you to.

First of all, don't call me arrogant for having my own opinion about the Wii reviews on Gamespot. Why don't you listen to your own advice and not give a F*** about somebody elses opinion...it's a forum...opinions are supposed to be expressed you hypocrite. Frankly i find it ironic that you stick around for an hour on a forum that you supposedly "hate" so much...people should give a F*** about Gamespots opinions! Many gamers buy their systems and games based upon either renting the game first, or on what Gamespot or IGN say, and excessively low scores could hurt the future of the system, that is why people care.

Secondly, how can you possibly say that Melee does not deserve at least a 9??? It was probably the only reason the Gamecube was even worth existing. Hours upon hours have been played on that game by many fans of the series without getting bored, so again, since your so against caring about opinions, keep yours to yourself before you go and bash Melee

I Like this forum. I don't always like the people because sometimes (This thread in particular) they can just be stark raving mad over the most trivial things.

Melee wasn't The reason to own a gamecube. It was good but there was more than one game that deserved a spot in the disk tray. (i.e Eternal Darkness, Prime 1, Killer 7, Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4, Windwaker, MGS:Twin Snakes, Tales of Symphonia, Rouge Squadron II, Ikaruga, F-Zero, SCII)

OH and "...it's a forum...opinions are supposed to be expressed you hypocrite. "

Yes, thanks for quoting me. Opinions are welcome, shooting down and critiquing everyone elses isn't!!!

I've been on gamespot for about a month and a half now, and it's obvious that wii is a lower priority on the site than 360 or PS3. It's visible on the home page where 360/PS3 games dominate the top 10 and FPS/RPGS get the bulk of the coverage in the flash headlines.

So taking that into consideration, I never expected Strikers to get a stellar score or even one on par with the rest. Gamespot seems to be looking for something different from games than say, IGN or the less than "junkie" gamer. I've noticed how the atmosphere of any game that's "chaotic", as it is referred to in the strikers review, or remotely unpredictable or uncontrollable is always noted as a negative with Nintendo games. This was their biggest gripe with Mario Party 8. Graphics are also weighed upon heavily when it comes to Wii titles. This kind of makes sense if you consider that they are somewhat biased toward cutting-edge graphics and FPS with online play. No online? slice off a couple of points. Lack of OCD-ish control over gameplay particulars and environmental factors? slice off a few points. Graphics aren't in hi-def and can't run at 100fps? more points off.

We've got to accept the fact that what's important to the gamespot staff isn't necessarily what takes precedence in the minds of wii owners. I understand the disappointment, believe me. I, along with just about every other wii owner, am tired of people bagging on the wii and consequently the decision I made to buy one. We're looking for every game that has that fun factor that the wii should be known for to be uplifted and praised. We're waiting for the nay-sayers to choke on their criticisms when a fun game comes out. We're looking for the game that'll be the reason to say STFU to everyone who bagged on the wii since November 19, 2006. But be patient.

This game will be great, I have no doubt. How much you enjoy that game is something that can't be communicated by any one rating. By the end of the year, all the "I told you so" titles will be out so we'll have plenty of gloating to do.

supreuph

Thank you! Tell that to Ryustruck!!! (the guy that's been dissing this topic from the start)

Typical...Now, this is coming from somebody who doesn't have the game, but I know that Gamespot is totally biased towards the 360 and PS3. Wii games always seem to get bad reviews.

I posted a topic that said Gamespot boycott for Wii games but i totally got bashed for it...can't wait till Metriod 3 and Mario Galaxy come out so they can give those games a 7.5 or an 8.

This is coming from a white guy so i'm not really speaking for much but personally, there is absolutely no way to avoid this issue. They are trying to expand their horizons from Europe, and now to Africa...personally i don't think it is racist, but maybe some hispanic or black people may find it offensive.

Resident Evil 6 has been confirmed to be taking place in San Francisco. Zombies are also confirmed to be wearing rainbow shirts and short jean shorts. This will be the next offensive topic when this game comes out...

I must say I am so happy to be a new 360 owner after hearing this news. Just bought mine 2 weeks ago without this new warranty, but i have to applaud Microsoft for the very selfless gesture they are making to their customers. I mean, over $1 billion worth giving back to customers?

I understand how a lot of people were very ticked off before and calling this company greedy, but after hearing about this, I must say that they have really made me feel secure as a 360 owner. Just thought I'd throw that out there

Okay, now i have decide to buy a 360. At Sam's Club they have like a bundle pack with 2 controllers, a headset, and obviously everything that comes with the Premium Package.

Are the warranties including on all Xbox's or do you buy the warranty from the retailer (Sam's Club which probably doesn't have one)???

Thanx!

I am seriously considering buying an Xbox 360 here probly within the next month. I did some research here in the forums to see if it had any problems and then i found about the 3 red rings of death. I understand now what they are and relate it to the whole "disc read error" problem on the PS2.

My question is:Are all XBox 360s eventually going to encounter this problem??? It seems like a bulk of the people on these forums have had it happen to them, so does that mean ALL of the systems will eventually fail?
