ah interesting question, for me it's all about technique, firstly I notice most of water is absorbed in my head hair, so that get's dried first to prevent water escaping down to the body therfore requiring further dryin on lower body if done first. I then do my legs and back of my legs, this is nothing to do with the technique inserted above but simply because the water trickling on my legs, especially backs of my legs annoys me. Thirdly I move back to my shoulders with the towel in a diagonal position holding one corner at my waist at the back and the other above my opposite shoulder to the waist and then I move the towel back and forth getting both shoulder and top and lower back, with the towel being diagonal surface area is decreased on the back proportion so then I mirror the technique before bring the waist end up to my shoulder and the shoulder end down to my waist and going back and forth once again. 5th I do any areas I missed before and other areas of irrelevant amount of moisture such as chest and stomach as the water their before had already proceeded to my lower area. 6th I do my private areas i.e genitals. front area first then buttocks. 7thly and lastly I dispose of the towel I just used and reach for a smaller towel which would be adequately sized for my face and I dry my face with this (don't forget behind your ears), I then dry my feet and in between my toes.

NOTE: when reaching step 7. With the larger towel equipped for steps 1-6 I don't throw it into wash basket, I find it more efficient if placed on the floor for water absorption and to keep your feet dry.
