i asked cuz gamespot was supposedly deleting their gba page, and some people said FF6 was the gba's swan song.
[QUOTE="cousinskeeter09"]Rhazakna, you have no idea what you're talking about. The salary cap has completely ruined baseball in so many ways. The reason the NFL is interesting is because every team has a fair shot. You said that some owners could spend more, but choose not to. This isn't the case at all; some owners spend less because they would be losing money overall. Steinbrenner spends a lot more than the owner of the Devil Rays because he makes so much more from tickets. You act like the Devil Rays owner should be fine with losing money.
You also say that the NFL is worse now because there aren't anymore "great teams." First of all, there are some very good teams, such as the Patriots and the Colts, and they are good because their owners/GMs made good decisions, not because they have the most money. Second, even if there weren't anymore good teams, who cares? No one wants to see the same team win every year.
Rooting for the Yankees is honestly one of the most rediculous things one could possibly do. Why root for the team that wins the most and has way more money than any other team? It's like rooting for a two-armed man against a one-armed man in a boxing match. Baseball games are in no way fair, and a salary cap would greatly improve MLB.
Yankees suck

Who said anything about the Devil Rays? The Royals are actually a rich team, but the owners are too cheap to spend any money. This isn't because they'll lose money by spending it, it's because they'd rather keep the money. I don't see what's so hard to understand about this.
The NFL isn't worse. Damaged wasn't the right term. However, the perception is very skewed. The talking heads on ESPN are constantly comparing Tom Brady to Joe Montana. Preposterous. Joe Montana played much better teams, in a much more competetive league. You can't compare today's teams to yesterday's teams. They pale in comparison. That's my point. Yes, manager decisions have everything to do with how good a team is, but you still can't compare modern teams with older ones. Oh yeah, no team won every year in football. There were dynasties, but there was no Yankees or Lakers style dominance.
So baseball fans in Kansas City should suffer because the owners are selfish? That's not fair at all. I was mentioning the Devil Rays because they are an example of a team with a horrible disadvantage because of the lack of a salary cap. I don't see what's so hard to understand about this.
And who cares if the perception is skewed? I'd much rather have a NFL with a skewed perception than one without a salary cap. Yankees suck etc. :)
