[QUOTE="cows6hotmom"][QUOTE="proud722"][QUOTE="cows6hotmom"]I think SMG is the perfect difficulty.
SMS was so hard i never wanted to go back and play the levels again. With SMG, the levels are hard enough to be satisfying, but are still extremely fun at the same time.
And, in SMG you have to get all 120 stars TWICE to unlock everything

Having to get 120 stars all over again but with luigi is not fun, its not even difficult challenging because you've dont it before. Its just a tediouse task which nintendo decided to put in to extend the game, it may be perhaps one of the worst things about smg. Peopel are gonna say, you dont have to do it but the thing is I do want the final ending but I want to earn it through a skill challenge not just having to do everything again that by doing the first time round you've already proved your self to be capable of doing. By doing everything twice but with a different character, it does not make the game harder because those challenges are still as hard as they were the first time round (unless your telling me when you play with luigi the games difficulty gets put up then thats sorted).
Obviously you havent played as luigi yet...
Luigi jumps higher and runs faster, however you can't stop his momentum, and he slides a bit when you try to stop. The increase in speed and sliding makes the tight platfroming on some of the hard levels much more difficult. So in some ways you can look at the game with luigi as "hardmode."
SMGs levels are such a blast im stil having a lot fun going back and beating them with luigi.
So it will be harder on ice surfaces but thats about it. Still sounds like a cheap trick to make the game seem bigger than it is. I mean I like unlockables but playing the whole game again with luigi...yay fun *note the sarcasm*.
??? Just harder on ice? no the point is everything feels like ice, so all tight platforming levels will be a lot harder.
And dude, if they didnt have luigi mode id still be going back and beating levels just for fun.The game would have gotten a 10/10 on value even without luigi mode, 30-40 hours for 120 star for a platformer is A LOT.
