same for me i hardly can find populated servers, 99% of them are empty. i think we have to blame the demo which was poor made and had a very bad ping. i dont think people dont play the game only because it has a console like menu.
i have installed ut3 and with it the ageia physx engine is installed. i do NOT have the ageia accelerator card so i was wondering if i need the drivers beeing installed and if the game can run without them.
i find both games very good. i played bf2 for 1 year and had extremly much fun learned to fly jets and choppers after time and was good in it. now i switched to cod4 (just because i played bf2 to death) and also enjoy it, its not bbetter or worse its just different. playing with some friends in one team S&D with teamspeak on hardcore is so intense its like you are a real swat team or something where u give cover to each other.
in cod4 i have a bad ping in general but it got worse with 1.4. i also dont understand why its so bad cause u have small maps with few players. i get a ping of 40 in bf2 on big maps with 64 players but only 80-90 in cod4 with 16-20 players.
i never cant join servers from xfire (cod4 and bf2). i always have to go into the game and join via the game´s browser. its a bit annoying cause i want to join servers my friends play at.
