Levelling Up: Male vs. Female ???

I just want to know if anyone else seems to have noticed the same thing that I have ... that being that, Females seem to level up quicker on Gamespot than Males. Why is this?? And what are Females doing differently than their Male counterparts to achieve this?

I understand that as you get higher up in levels that the maximum of progress that you get on a level on any given day diminishes. That way it will take you longer to get from one level to the next. That being said though, I have noticed that some of my female friends (those usually with usernames that easily identify them as female) can level up at a phenomenal rate – while my male friends seem to be more in check with a more normal rate of progression (slim and none). Now I was going to post some evidence here but decided against it,because I didn't want single anyone out - male or female. But I'm positive that I can't bethe only one who has noticed this phenomenon.

Now, I'm pretty sure that I understand how to increase your levels quicker at Gamespot – it's based on your overall activities, which can include anything from posting Blogs (and responses), to posting pictures, posting in forums / unions, to the pages you visit and the videos you watch – in short anything you do on Gamespot. Personally, I have tried to do a variety of things on Gamespot per day that way increasing my chances to get the maximum percentage allowed everyday – but I found that although successful at first eventually even this tactic would dwindle until I was back at my usual slim and none percentages every day.

Girls if you are reading this (and I know you must be) and you have noticed this or have any suggestions I'd love to hear from you.

Guys ... anything???? :?

Thanks for listening,

Mike

Merry Cristmas to all and to all a good night ...

I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :)

Unfortunately this year I have to work Christmas (night shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday -12 hours each) but that's the life of a shift worker at a Steel Company - someone has to make sure that those Coke Ovens have coal.

But that doesn't mean that the rest of you can't enjoy the Holidays, so here's wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your families! :D

... and to all a good night.

Note: One last thing you have to email the URL to GS Staff member (I picked one that participated in the Scavenger Hunt) ... good luck!

Level up!!! ... purchases and what I'm playing.

Finally Level 23 Super Bagman ... it sure seems to be taking a long time to get to the next level anymore.

Well my PlayStation 3 fried on me earlier on this week, so needless to say my first purchase was a new 320 GB - PS3 slim - the new Move Motion Bundle ... cha ching!

So of course if you buy a new system you HAVE to get extra controllers - 1 Move controller, and the Navigation controller ... gee, might as well buy an extra Dual Shock 3 Wireless controller while I'm at it, you can never own too many controllers- I now own 6 DS controllers (okay maybe 6 is too many) - so I might as well get a charging mat in case I have to charge them all at the same time (not bloody likey but you never know). Oh yeah, better get that charging station for the Move controllers too ... CHA CHING! CHA CHING!

Whats a new system without a few new games?

  • Saw II - cha ching
  • Medal of Honor - cha ching
  • Blood Stone 007 - cha ching
  • Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - cha ching
  • Sports Champion - comes with the Move Bundle - cha ching
  • inFAMOUS - came with the extra DS controller - cha ching
  • Assassin's Creed (just because I never played the first one) - cha ching

Do you think the salesman at the store saw me coming???

And I wonder why I have to work so much Overtime at work - Now I know ... it's to support my PlayStation habit.

Missing 2010 E3 emblems!!!

So here I am ... I have patiently waited until Tuesday for my Night Owl and Special Agent emblems from E3 2010 AND I didn't get either one of them (witch I know I deserve) ... But imagine my surprise this morning when I realized that not only did I not get the Night Owl and Special Agent emblems BUT now two other emblems have also disappeared (Groupie and Tourist) ... that's a total of four missing emblems just in case your counting. *sarcasm*

This glitch has really started to ruin my 2010 E3 experience ... I've already posted on the missing emblem page, but what I want to know is how many of you are still having the same problem???

If you are, you can post in this thread.

Updates:

1. The missing emblem thread has been taken down ... gee I wonder why??? *more sarcasm*

2. My Groupie and Tourist emblems have now reappeared - but I still don't have my Night Owl and Special Agent emblems - if I find somewhere else to complain about missing emblems I'll let you all know.

E3 or World Cup - what is one to do?????

Okay, here's the question E3 or World Cup - what is one to do????? (Don't these organizers talk to each other? :) )

I'll tell you what I decided to do - move all my computer stuff into the living room and set it all up in front of the TV - problem solved right???? Hopefully! Maybe not - I think I need more TV's!!!

But what I want to know is what everyone else is going to do? Are you going (watching)E3, or are you just interested in the World Cup or are you like me and going to try and coordinate everything all at once?

Either way I guess I won't be getting a whole lot of sleep in the next little while ...
