No Salsa hits for me today. I've been working on some of my music todayand playing the Nintendo Wii. Yes, I finally have my Nintendo Wii. Well, truth is I've had it for2 weeks now.Today I'll be telling you my feelings on my whole experience so farwith the Nintendo Wii and its games.I have 3 games for it at the moment, one of I was having trouble with, but I found out, the wii gamecube controller I bought had Turbo feature on. silly thing. Why is the controller's turbo mode automatically on when you get it? Madness Anyhoo
WII EXPERIENCE
Ok, now I'm back. Had to go downstairs n grab mesome chicken pies. you know how itgoes.Wii all need food. har har
I orderedmy Wii on Sunday 5th August 2007, and I think that it arrived on theTuesday. Didnt take too long to arrive at all to my delight. As soon as I got home from work I actually got something to eat first and finished eating before opening the box. I wanted to build as much suspense as possible before unpackaging this beautiful nintendo product. After much waiting hehe, the box was finally opened, only to be closed and re-openedagain5 times, because I wanted to relive thisexperience over and over again. My fingers were tingling with excitement every time.
No one was there with me to open it up. Quite frankly, I'm glad, because I didnt want anyone even SMELLING the Wii before I did. The Box opening sounded so good. Then, Iput my nose nice and close tocreamy blue interior boxes of the wii.
CAN YA SMELLLLLL-a !! [echo].... *pause* .... WHAT THE WII! .... iiIIS COOKIN?! I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt joy in opening every single wrapping the box contained. The Nun-Chuck was the first to go in my hands. Which was your first?
Couldnt believe how nice the nun-chuck and wii-mote felt in my hands. Seeing it on TV I had doubts about how nice it would feel. But Nintendo, you worked really hard, and I'm sure its paying off now. oooo the smell, so new and fresh. I want my future girlfriend... to smell, like the nintendo wii.:D
Such a warm feeling, looking at the wii channels for the first time.
Setting up the wii for the internettook a couple of days.It was kinda annoying trying to connect for the first time to my router and getting thoseSOB ERROR CODES..... *sigh* SOB....But, all was solved eventually. Had to reconfigure my internet access passwords and such. Geek stuff. All worth it in the end my friend.
The weather and news channels are so kool. I'm constantlylooking at them for information. Checking on theweather has never been so much fun. Specially with thehappy tunesthat play withthe channels.Dont watch TV no more, its CRAP. Stopped watching it a while ago.Wii TVOWNS haha. I love all the little things they doto make it a worth while experience. Like being able to spin the globe!! WHAT THE HELL?! Totally awesome. *ahem*
Made sure to order the hd component cable for the wii as well, which from what I can see is definatelymade an improvementforthe wiivisuals.
WII COLLECTION
Heres the current setup I have. I know it aint exactly a COLLECTION of games, but please, have mercy. I'm doing my best to collect more.
- Nintendo Wii (duh, I know)
- Nintendo Wii-Mote &Nun-chuck
- Wii HD Component Cable
- Wii Controller Charger/Dock with Rechargeable battery
- Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess
- Paper Mario (virtual console)
- Wii Sports
PAPER MARIO
Paper mario is pretty kool. N64 game on the Nintendo Wii hehe. Who would've imagined? I never thought for a second, the next nintendo console would enable you to play N64, snes, nes. Its a real achievement. I had some problems with sound in the game, but found out it was just the settings on my LCD HDTV that needed to be changed. Heres me thinking for a second it could be the game itself. Well, its the first Paper Mario in my Paper Mario Collectionso far and I cant wait to get the others. Once I finish playing this game I'll have to write a review.
Right now, I have to get back to my web browsing and such. Otherwise I swear, I'd type here all dang day. Still got Twilight Princess and Wii Sports to talk about.ok peace and take care of your wii. hmhaha*chuckle*
Wait one sec. yea. Before I go, Metroid Prime 3. Its really the main game on my mind today. Hence the title of this blog, Saturday Samus. :)
METROID PRIME 3 CORRUPTION
Alls I can say is at first, I really was not interested in this game. Do you know why? Crappy advert. I cant remember where I saw it, but I just remember shaking my head and clicking the X button in the corner. But I eventually managed to see trailers like the Spiderball one. I'm sure that name rings a bell in MP fans minds. The visuals on corruption look so danggood. Oh my days. After seeingand downloading some awesome trailers, I will definatelybe gettingit. In one of the trailers, I noticed one of the lovely details inthe game. When samus was geting shot at and a bright explosion was near her,you could seea reflection of herface in the visor. If that wasdone before, kool, but its the first time I've seen such a thing. The last Metroid game I played was on the NES. That was kooool. Turning into a morph ball to access different areas and even thoughgamevisualshave come a long way since the NES, it was a pleasure to see.Andthe atmospherewas creepy as well. I'll download the NES version on Virtual console, after I sort out myaformentioned problems withPaper Mario. As for MP3, I love the kool things you can do with the Wii-mote and use of the Nun-chuck as well. Opening doors, I mean, sure some of you are probably like: eeeerr so what its opening a door. You know what, just watch some trailers from gamespot and gametrailers and you'll see why its gonna be an experience that will pull you into the world of Metroid Prime like never before, as if you are really there.
Oh, maybe if you're wonder, does that mean the newHALO catches my attention.Wellkinda, cause Imean, I just mentioned it. I'll look at it some more this week, but I'm just gonna be concentrating on Nintendo for now. Doesnt mean you cant talk to me about Xbox 360, cause they do have some really good games, like MASS EFFECT.but Nintendo Wii is the only console I have right now, so that just happens to be my focus.
OK PERFICTO TIMING. Moocho happy. My Wii-mote has finished charging. The Blue light is flashing on the charging dock. Means I can play some more Twilight Princess. I'll be back soon to talk about more gaming stuff. Thanks for reading, if you have bothered at all lol. I cant leave without putting a picture of Metroid Prime 3 here. So here ya go. Have a Wii Day.
