i agree with Danny on No Man's Sky - it's made a statement on it's own merits, and if it can deliver on the promises that have been made, I don't see why it can't be GOTY. It makes me feel old, but it reminds me a lot of my dad playing elite back in the 80s
I've played most of the previous games and this looks just as boring. I know the hard thing is a USP for these games, but there's only so far you can go with the same looking theme before it becomes an assassins creed situation...mix it up a little next time, eh?
GTA's already had a flying car, from the airport in gta3 - it wasn't great, but in gta3 it was the only thing that approached being flyable by your character...
Well, that was a point that needed to be made, but I feel it was a tiny bit self indulgent for the theme of the series. It's good to question the anonymous power that the Internet seems to grant. But as a critic, you need to either deal with the influential 'power' of influence you have and give an actual f***ing opinion, or tow the party line and say what you think they want you to say.
I think that opinions (properly argued, not just put out there for shits & giggles) are valued by most Internet users, and we appreciate it when a good, well thought out media piece like this is put out there. That's why these editorials are important to give perspective.
It's obvious this guy loves his games, and the people who play them (even the hater trolls), possibly even more than me :)
