[QUOTE="solidscryer"]I was about 30 minutes ago talking to my girlfriend and listening to "All You Need Is Love"Belisarius-9

Cool dude. Nothing better than grokking in fullness.

Do you grok "grok" ?

lol, I've always wanted to say that.

I don't think anybody does.

I grok. Robert Heinlein FTW.

It's his birthday today. He would be 100.

Yeah, it kinda sucks he's dead...I wish he had written more books. Which was your favorite? Stranger In A Strange Land for this Martian.

I really can't tell you that. I can tell you that ideally, my favorite album would have a little bit of everything, kinda like Mr. Bungle, but to a further degree, and perhaps even lumped into one song.

I'm at the top of the list, Baltimore. It's not as many as other cities, but because of our smaller population, we have seven times the national average homicide rate.

Here's the deal. If you are a music theory geek or like music that sounds remotely psychedelic, you like Tool. To say that they recycle riffs couldn't be farther from the truth. But if you just like listening to what sounds good, you probably don't like Tool, as they intentionally write out of standard key signatures and meters.

[QUOTE="crucifine"][QUOTE="maximusmmii"]

the united states of america - the united states of america

the effects of LSD have never been captured as accurately in any other body of music.

Acid Mothers Temple much?

they don't come close. and besides, usa invented most of the mothers' tricks.

I guess it's more subjective, anyways. I don't even think Acid Mother's Temple captures its effects all that well.

Coil- Musick To Play In The Dark, Vol. 1 would probably be my pick.

Gordian Knot's self-titled also seems to embody the experiences I've had fairly well.

And who puts Marilyn Monroe on blotter? More specifically, where did you get that picture?

You can't get addicted to cannibis LJ.

When legalized, we would see the immidiate beginnings of an industry that would sell it. It takes alot of time and money to grow it yourself, something that I know most people wouldn't go through if they could avoid the hastle, if it was easily avalible at the local gas station, people would would just buy it there, eliminating or at the very least crippling the black market.

Underlined: See my above post.

It does not take a lot of time and money to grow, contrary to popular belief. Decent stuff can be grown by using good soil, watering and giving nutrients properly in as little as 2 months. Expense comes from boutique horticulturalists who grow indoors and spend thousands on climate control, hydroponics, and basically make it their job to grow a good crop. Outdoor crops need much less looking after/money than indoor crops. Companies can't grow it any faster than we can, unless they're shooting for a weak product. And do you really want the tobacco companies producing it? Current belief is that 90% of lung cancer caused by smoking cigarettes stems from carcinogens they use in the soil. They'll no doubt be cost-cutting as much as possible, and we may end up with a substance that was safer when it was illegal.

To my knowledge, nobody that I know that has smoked pot has gotten addicted to it.needled24-7
It can and doeshappen, but not very often. Maybe a tenth of a percent of users are physically addicted, and maybe 5 percent of users are habitual users.
