Wow, thank you very much for all the suggestions. A lot of material to go over and I"m confident that with in taking into account all of your replies I will be able to build (or have someone build for me) a great computer.
For those who wondered, I am specifically interested in ACU, but it's just one game and I WILL get tired of it eventually, so obviously I wouldn't be building a computer for only one game.
Again, thank you :D
CrumblingAway's forum posts
I know nothing of building computers, I am just a guy who enjoys playing video games.
With that in mind, I need the of the community here to build a computer. My current computer is 5 years old and I couldn't begin to tell you its specs (unless you'd care to tell me how I check that), so obviously it's high time I got a new one.
As implied in the title, I want a computer that will be able to run Assassin's Creed Unity (I LOVE the AC franchise), but obviously I don't want my computer to be limited to that game.
Bottom line: I would like anyone who can to give me at least general tips/instructions for going about building a solid gaming computer, that can run, among other games, ACU.
Thank you
Those complaining I spoiled the DLC with the title: Elizabeth doesn't die in Infinite, and you see her less than a minute into the game. So use your f*cking heads next time.
*BIOSHOCK SPOILER ALERT*
In the memories of Booker of the time before he forgot he was Comstock, he tries to steal Anna from the Booker in the other universe but when pulling her through the portal her head gets severed, meaning Elizabeth could not have come back to Rapture to teach Comstock/Booker a lesson.
Does that mean that Elizabeth is from an altogether alternate reality? If so, why would she need to teach Comstock/Booker a lesson?
After my failed attempt at Mass Effect (quitting it, btw, can't do it, just can't), I'm gonna try to get into the popular FPS games, and I have a few questions that hopefully you can answer:
1) Does CoD suck as bad as they say it does? The franchise is very popular, and as I'm looking to play more online than campaign I think it would fit me, but why do people hate on it?
2) CoD or Battlefield for online? (if you can, name the specific preferred games in each franchise, e.g.: Battlefield 3/Cod: MW2)
3) If I choose to play Battlefield, should I start from the very beginning or does it not really matter?
4) I've never played online FPS matches, and from recent videos I've watched of trolling the assholes of the game, I have two questions: is knifing a dick move? Does knifing lower your "rating" (or whatever, something about "demoted")
@Fire_Wa11 (can't tag you for some reason), I didn't read any reviews, at all. I just heard it's an awesome game and the end of the 3rd is supposedly god awful, so it made me curious.
Hmm, never heard Mass Effect being compared to Borderlands or Deadspace.
But i get the feeling that you are on of those "arnold Stallone" action movie type of games like Call of Duty, BF ect. where there is action from start to finish and you dont need to read too much or listen to boring cutscenes that really is to long.
So i would just uninstall Mass Effect and forget all about this game because it doesn't get much different and it then the game isn't for you.
I don't play CoD, and I did enjoy the stories in games I've played, Portal especially and I can't wait for Portal 3. But here the story seems so very ordinary.
The crates with the kinesis mark on them? You don't open them, you just move them, don't actually see the point in putting the mark on them.
To clear things up: I do like the story. It's amazing, original (as far as I know) and very very interesting. The music? Awesome, very fitting and well made.
Now that you've read the good parts, I'll say what in my opinion is a game changing flaw: the actual gameplay. You'd think that controlling an assassin and jumping from building to building and climbing walls and assassinating targets and sneaking around would have been tough, right? Wrong. Not only that, but in combat you could hypothetically face millions of enemies and fight them off. How? Because they charge you two at a time max, and even then you can counter attack them. In my opinion, that makes the game completely unchallenging, thus boring, and it makes it more of a movie than a game
Good points people, good points. I'll keep playing it for the story, hope it's worth my while. As for the aim, I am not playing on console, what' bothering me is that whenever I start shooting the aim radius is starts expanding, irritating to say the least. I also get the impression that it's gonna be just like playing any of the AC games: playing it ONLY for the story, as the game itself offers little to no challenge.
