There are many other better fighters, yet StreetFighter is the only one on PC. Is it that hard for studios to realize that PC's can run fighters better and maybe, just maybe have two gamepad's plugged into the many USB ports that PC's come with these days? We need Tekken, DOA, Soul Caliber and/or any other good fighters that the consoles have... There is no reason for this to currently be a problem.

Wow, I dont even remember making this post but I'm glad you all have answered with some extremely good ideas... Keep em coming, most of these should be looked at by some of the leading studios these days!

i really like your responses 1nverted and linkthewindow really have them down to a couple of areas, i only hope more companies would follow these basic guidelines when creating a successful game.

so "hype" can make a TopSelling game and Glitches can break one.

this is all very true, though im not about to underestimate motivation and skill and with a little more time i believe i will have what im looking for, my plan from the beginning was to have a well-featured 3d engine (not game) within 1 year and well its been 6months and i have made alot of progress as far as programming/scripting/modelling etc...

well ive yet to actually develop a game, like i said i want the engine working first, then comes story, levels and other game content...

btw i use TGEA (Torque Game Engine: Advanced --- www.garagegames.com---) if anyone knows a better engine feel free to let me know... currently TGEA has shown more functionality and customization then anything ive seen.

right now i have a friend doing some 3D Modelling

another doing the Music Engineering

and im the Programmer/Scripter/3D Modeler/2D Artist/Music-Sound Engineer/Tester and anything else that has to be done, so actually we are a 3 man team but im the only constant.

as an "Indie" myself ive found that theres alot of intimidation from big videogame companies, but there are also times when i say i could have done better, well ive recently decided that im going to try and do better, and as a single person that is quite a task to say the least, either way i know any problems in my game will be fixed unlike some developers (EA) and if i like any one feature from any videogame i can add it, i make the end result so i will always try to meet or beat the big name competition.

Anyway im just sayin, lets show these big companies that we have the skill and motivation to compete with there best!
