Well put, guys. And for clarification, what I meant by MPH being good was the fact that it had the features to be a competitor. (And yeah, you can see when your friends made rooms...which is fundamentally the same thing, unless you enjoy sitting at the "Create a Room" screen without creating a room :P)

I can kind of understand why it's not an XBL service...But honestly, I'd much prefer that type of organization and seamless integration in my Wii.

You can? Dang, I have not played Hunters in a while, and I don't get online very often either...

Anyways, I agree that even with Friend Codes, Nintendo's service can be a lot better than it is right now, and that's what I find depressing about it.

The pharmacist I work with (yeah, he's a gamer :P) didn't even think Wii had online play. He has a Wii, but plays 360 much more anc is a self-proclaimed "achievement whore". I explained the online to him, and we both commented how the 360's integration with XBL was amazing :)

Regardless of our ages, it's nice to be able to coordinate matches without having to call, text, IM, or email somebody. It's the theory of "all-in-one-package", where this just becomes a pain to coordinate. Especially during a match in Brawl, for example, you meet up with your friend...but how long are you guys playing? And why should you have to make a phone call just to laugh at your opponent? It's just a pain.

Am I the only one who feels as if the Wii's going back in time in terms of online gameplay?

When I first got my Wii and say we had a Wii Friend Code, I was ecstatic, because I thought Nintendo was going to have 1 code per Wii, to work on any game, allowing an actual online network. Obviously this didn't happen...

When I see the Wii's (few) online games (Especially Brawl), I think "why couldn't this be like Metroid Prime Hunters?" Hunters had stat tracking, friends and rivals list, voice and text chat, and amazing multiplayer.

I'm a staunch Nintendo fan, and I'm not trolling, but I'm really dissappointed in the Nintendo WiFi Connection for the Wii

I read it. It sounds like a very strange problem. It gets messages from E Mails and Cell Phones but not other Wiis? Hmm.

And what are vouchers?

Crisis_Eye

Vouchers are things you earn in Metroid Prime 3 to send and receive to and from friends. When you get a voucher, it can allow you access to more bonus content.

rjs927- reported.

Well, I read it. That is a very wierd problem indeed. I dont get how that could be wrong, maybe your wii isnt connected to the rest of the wii's in the 'Wii Network'.ken_drummer
Yeah it's weird. It registers other Wiis, but I suspect that that's done via Nintendo's servers.

Firstly: do not tell me to call Nintendo for help. I'm telling you forumites about a weird Wii problem that has happened to only a handful of people in the US.

I have posted an issue here before about my MP3C Friend Vouchers not sending. To my not surprise, people didn't even post in the thread (hence why I don't come here often :P) Anyways, I called up Nintendo last week about the problem and talked to "Chris". I totally stumped him with my problem! He talked to his supervisor and everything. Eventually, he told me he was going to file a report for "the guys upstairs". Well after this, I decided I'd dig deeper and try to figure out how the Wii works...

I had been sending messages and pictures to my friend with a Wii, but he has never received them (since I got my Wii back after I sent it out for a re4 video rendering problem.) I know how inefficient the Wii's messaging wa (tok hours and gours to receive messages), so I didn't think much of it. So I wanted to see if I could get any messages.

I registered my cell phone with the Wii to exchange messages to see if that works. Actually it does, and quite efficiently! Messages are received on both ends within 5 mins. And I tried it with email. That worked too. Other friend's email addresses worked too! So something was fishy
I posted in a Wii forum on Facebook asking about the vouchers and someone offered to send me one to try it again. We registered each other and his name appeared black in the address book. No luck with the vouchers. Or the messaging. Hmm.... Connection?

I determined that my Wii-Wii (say that out loud! :P) connection is messed up.

So I proceed to call Nintendo back to help them out. Sure enough, I get Chris again (what are the odds, huh?). Anyways, we talk (he remembers me), and we try to figure out the problem with no luck. He speaks to his supervisor again and come back with 3 possibilities: Hardware firewall (which I don't have), Proxy (nope), and if what rotuer I have (Luinksys WRT54G...works perfectly with the WFC).

I've never heard the Twilight Princess theme (hold music) so many times within a half hour (or so) before! Oh well, I'm not dissatisfied now. They have heard of the problem like 2 other times (ha!). A WFC rep. is going to call me soon and hopefully this will all be sorted out.

...and if I predict right, this thread is going to die soon since nobody here reads anything anymore. (No, I wasn't always this bitter)
