It's one thing for a video game to have a good story by "video game standards" (i.e. Metal Gear Solid, BioShock) but it's another thing entirely for a video game to have a narrative that simply goes beyond what video games are typically capable of. The idea of a narrative uniqueness to video games has only been achieved very rarely. I believe the Grand Theft Auto games, Braid, and Shadow of the Colossus are games that distinguish themselves as not only effective storytelling media, but media that communicates messages and emotion in ways that no other media (film, literature) can, mostly through identification with the main character. Half-Life has a great narrative, but the story there leaves a lot to be desired. What we know of HL2 is very much incomplete. Once Half-Life Ep. 3 rolls around I'm sure HL2 will have entered the Pantheon of Braid, etc.
Stop being so insecure, Kruegmeister. As I see it... Fallout 3 = 360 Soulcalibur = PS3 Dead Space = PS3 Star Wars = 360 (Slightly, because of outdoor environments) CoD = PS3 Madden = 360 MK = PS3 But I'm really no expert. I'm judging solely on these pictures (with the exception of Fallout, as I've played it extensively on both consoles and can tell you that the framerate on the 360 version is surprisingly more stable). Also... "Doesn't the XBox360 enhance it's images when Capturing a Still Image (Documented)." Does this even make sense? Do any consoles actually give you the option of capturing images via the standard user interface? I think not. When you capture something, you're using a device designed with no particular console in mind. I imagine that whatever capture device GS uses is compatible with both consoles and has the same functionality with both.
Definitely worth a re-buy imo. I could never get myself to pay up for the DSL but the video output seals the deal for me. And considering I use my PSP for music a lot, a smaller model would be very desirable.
September is going to be spectacular! Wii Info, PS3 Info, and 360 Info Galore! Of course, I can't wait to see the track list for Guitar Hero II as well ;)
