And I'm not afraid to admit it. I see the upcoming generation of consoles as probably the most important things in my life right now (no lie). Even more important is the decision I have to make (between Microsoft or Nintendo, screw Sony), or should I say, had to make. I can honestly say I was, to say the least, a bit skeptical about Nintendo's upcoming plans for the Revolution. With a Wi-Fi (and hopefully online) feature, hooking up to other consoles will be easier than ever. The other big feature, at least for me, was the option of backwards compatibility to Gamecube games. I was very doubtful about this, considering Nintendo's history of this feature. It is there, but only in handhelds. So it's safe to say that I was stunned to the point of durn near crapping my pants. Now I don't have to give up great games like Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and especially, my favorite 'Cube game, Mario Kart: Double Dash (god, I love that game). So, thanks to the announcements made at GDC, I can now fully install my faith back in Nintendo and realize I'm an idiot for doubting them at the same time.
GO NINTENDO!!!
