Please, let this not be true........

As many of you have probably already heard, Nintendo has "revolutionary" plans for its upcoming system, and its controllers as well. This is great news, at least on behalf of the system. Controller wise, I'm definitely not sold on this one yet. According to Game Informer and Gamespot's Rumor Control, Nintendo supposedly has touch screen enabled controllers. This will take away shoulder buttons, analog/joystick controllers, the d-pad, and basically all face buttons as well. This has me scared. I love Nintendo, and I love how they innovate and are not afraid to do so, but if this rumor is true, I think they've gone to far, at least this time. I, along with many, many other gamers out there, love my controllers, especially the buttons and joysticks on them. If Nintendo takes all of this away from their next controllers, this could, honest to gosh, kill them. I don't think there is a chance that this innovation will pull in more gamers than it pushes away. Besides, touch screen is for the DS, not the Revolution. Don't get me wrong, though, I love my DS to death, especially for its touch screen capabilities. However, to much touching at the same time may not be a good thing, no matter what the advertisements say. Oh yeah, one more thing. If Nintendo's next controllers are equipped with gyro sensors (sensors that tilt the controller) how in the world are you supposed to have good fun touch the controller when it's tilting around?........Just a thought. Hopefully this is just a rumor/myth and that the "revolution" is in the system, not the controllers.
