I'll tell you why people are afraid of the PS3. Power and capabilitie. I've seen the wii and the 360 and the only ones to be impressed with are the 360 and of course the PS3 for petes sake. The wii is a gimmick pretty soon people wiill be bored and tired with there running and sweating for a stupid motion controler. The price for the PS3 is steep but look at ps2 when it came out and same with xbox then it was thought of as steep too. But my rant is over.
