the thing is does directx 10 make a game look that much better?? if your gaming and the answer for now is no! wait tell the hardware improves and you can see an improvment in games! then and only then as a gamer would I consider it!
ya they are already working on directx 10b which the new ati 3800 series cards will have support for none of the current hardware released even the 8800 gt doesnt support some of the new stuff in 10b. sad you just buy a new card and 6 months later theres something new I hate that! or I love it P.S. your PS3 wouldnt look as good as the machine they used in their test PS3 has the equivilant of 2 6800 cards combined the 8800 gtx is way more powerful and crysis humbles even the latest hardware! I mean it would look good just not as good but the Ps3 version would run in 720p tops anyway they dont have to many 1080p games yet!
resistence is a killer app ya all need to try it also PS3 is about new top graphics.I dont play anything except halo 2. all the other games are nex gen on my 360, I have a PS2 for PS2 games why put wear and tear on a 600.00 console but the price for less features in europe and asia and australia sucks!!
38 billion where do you get your figures any links we might see. and xboxl360 live component and interface to download items and still play you cant do that yet on a PS3 wheres the voice capability in games or the gear to communicate with others not out yet! the one advantage or 2 is bluray buit in for hd movies out of the box and the second is that every PS3 uses a hard drive giving it a advantage over 360 game. the same was true with xbox over PS2 built in hard drive swap file for quicker loading and virtual memmory for more system ram. hard drives transfer data faster then dvd. so when a gaming console can load files to the hd the games run smoother . and also you can create bigger games like halo was compared to anything on the PS2. thats why levels are so big in resistence too.of course 360 has double the physical ram the PS3 has so maybe the hard drive helps maybe notboth are great gaming console. but with directx 10 around the corner and nvidia already releasing graphics cards more powerful then the ps3 pc games will make both these console look cheesy quick.look @ http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/11/08/what_direct3d_10_is_all_about/page8.html the man is in crytecs crisis game running on directx 10 the only prob with such realism is do you feel bad when you have to shoot it?
PS3 obsolete it cost the same as the beast has blu ray and exclusives game titles optimized for it ya some of your graphics will be prettier. but @ what cost? how long will it be before its not the best and its obsolete as you put it. Besides PS3 has a 60 gig hd bluray and built in wifi. I have a 360 built over 50 P.C. and have every console ever made. and by far and a way console gaming is way less money and being able to recline in my chair as an old fart is priceless some guys like sitting with thier face 2 in. from a screen and holding a mouse and punching a key board. relaxing while gaming is my preffrence thats why I wont be playing a WII . By the gears of war is great maybe you guys will get it in a year or 2.
Most hi end titles to be ported From P.C. to next gen console are skipping the Wii. Why??? because it lacks the power if nintendo games are your thing go for it! I'll probably get one for my Son he's 12 and my 14 yr old daughter they love zelda but right now in our house 360's and playstation 2 gets the most use besides the handhelds which is a toss up between ds and psp. PS3 is an awesome piece of equipment and Sony has always had huge 3 rd party support and freedom.Something nintendo has restricted in the past. Also as long as all parties make money in the next gen of consoles it works for consumers thats called choice.Each system has its exclusive must own titles ,Gears of war, Halo3, dead rising on 360 . and MGS4, ff series, gran turismo the last one I played was 3 great game!Sony over shot its mark they have done that in the past. as long as they deliver quality hardware and great games they will be fine. also people who love specs and say PS3 is the most powerful so its better and should win forget xbox was 2x more powerful then PS2, but gamers through out the world have made it the PS2 the highest selling console in history! hardware dosent matter as much as quality and variety of games! I dont see nintendo pulling it off until they open thier system to more adult content mature themes. like a rockstar game open world titles. Parents like these systems for thier kids. so go ahead not360 reply and rip an sleep with your wii just have fun doing it!
High end pc out dated to mid range 1 yr. cost for high end 400.00 graphics card 800.00 m/b and cpu were talkin amd fx-60 1 gig ram 110.00 hd 300 gig 90.00 cd/dvd combo dr burner 75.00 box with big arse power supply 110.00 good enough monitor too display these hi res hi end graphics 400.00 mouse key board for gaming 75.00 wireless hook up on pc 60.00 if you cant jack right in to the matrix were your at. that totals $ 2120.00 total oh xbox 360 $400.00 wireless $100.00. my 46in hd was 1600 a few years ago without hdmi inputs no blu ray movies for me.ps i bought the warranty on tv 400.00 ouch. still works great though. the only difference is a pc game you keep and mod and play all the fun stuff the 360 version you unlock achievements and trade the $60 game in $30 store credit @gamestop and the game cost you $30.00 to play. + you can trade in hardware and upgrade to a new console. pc just buy a new graphics card in a year and your good to go.and just look @ all thos games you own and pc parts you pawn off on your kids or neighbors!!!!! its hell to play games play them where you can when can and the way that suits you and have fun doing it!
Lost Gemini says its our fault we traded in our xboxs but MS said 360 was BC then it was BC with a emulator but not all games. Im not upset about it I only play 360 games but my kids wanted to play a couple games not on the list. So now I kick my self for trading in 2 xbox and a ps2 so my son could have a 360 too! I ready bought a new PS2. for kingdom hearts 2 but I'll wait for a used xbox or when it drops down even lower.I sold my Dreamcast and got a used one later so just keep your systems theres always that game JSF. that you'll want to revisit. of course psone ps2 ps3 you could sell and upgraded and play old school games in thier library.Thats what will help sell Wii's 8 bit downloadable content!xboxlive on the 360 has xboxlive arcade with old arcade games very popular! so thats what people want choice!
