Got my copy on disc.... strangely enough it even ended up being cheaper. And yes, it's a perfectly legit copy. Mind this would be in India, not sure about its dvd availability elsewhere.

The first RPG I played, and till today one of my favorite games.
Descent 2
I only played the Destination: Quartzon package, but it was awsome.
Ground Control 2
Not exactly the perfect RTS, but still great in its own right.
Crysis is coming out this year I believe (or am I wrong about that?).
Other than that...not really. Quake 4, judging from the demo, was dissapointing. However, you could try going old school with games like Half Life 1, Quake 2, and other classics. Sometimes its fun to go back to them.
1) Not kill itself by walking into hazardus terrain just because the target did.
2) Act some what intelligently during a fight (meaning dont run down an empty street charging like cavelry through musket fire).From what I've herd the AI will choose self preservation over trying to kill you or an enemy. So they should be ok there. And from what I've seen of the videos the AI takes cover and works as a team. Thirdly FEAR's ai only had to worry about killing you and they would hunt you till your dead or you kill all of them. In STALKER they will run away if the fight is not in their favor or so we have been told. Just saying FEAR's AI is good at what it does but only has to do one thing. STALKER's AI has many more things it has to consider. Hunting, sleeping, aparrently the NPC Stalkers seek out artifacts just like you. So the AI of a specific Stalker is at work even when your on the otherside of the map. Where as FEAR's NPC AI is only working when your in the same room.

Oh no doubt this AI has much more to do. I only site FEAR because its the only AI to actually pull off a damn good show in recent memory, beating even HALO 2 (as little respect as I have for that game, I admit its AI was good).
A side note: Fear AI pretty much worked for the whole level. Frequently you would have troopers litterally flank the entire map just to get you, though I do see your point about the STALKER AI. Hopefully the vids show the trueth...
I only want the AI here to do the following:

I dont care about any eco systems or FEAR caliber stuff, just do those two things, and it should be fine.
