impymonk...unfotunately not everybody knows what those things are....and the artcle still helps with telling us a general idea of what each setting does even if it doenst' effect proformance in each game..that way you know weather you really want to bother with 16x antialiasing when 4 looks fine, weather you need the high levels of an Anisotropic filtering. so i disagree....this article can be pretty usefull...though i'll agree..the one about the shadows....but still most games still take a hit with shadows on high...
