All Lol atoms or lolicules carry an amount of unfunny (anti humour) equal to the number of "o"s they contain between their Ls. This completely explains why people don't really mean "lol" when they say it on the internet.

If you are a responsible adult you should and are (in most cases) allowed to say whatever you want. It is the reaction of society around you in response to what you say that makes it a "bad word". Swear words are normally used in reference to someone or something you dislike or have an issue with and so they might not be appropriate at all times. Like me saying "i love you" when i mean "i like you".
