@turtlethetaffer: It's ok, brother. I'm just stuck in an old-school rut. Condemned CO was close to what I wanted after RE4(which treaded on the hokey horror side). Silent Hill Homecoming killed that series for me. I'll have to try more of Downpour, as it didn't gel with me initially.

@turtlethetaffer: Something even more unsettling than Condemned Criminal Origins is the fact that it was released in the 360 launch window. It's the best horror game to come out this generation, and that's just sad. I pray for Alien:Isolation.
They have longer legs, I'll give you that. Those arena shooters are horribly outdated IMO. However, I can still play Half-Life, Deus Ex, and Thief Gold(Stealth/FPS?) without issue.
The after-life(if there is one) scares the crap out of me. Death itself is nothing, unless I have to suffer extreme pain to get there. I'm not a bad person, and haven't harmed anyone physically since high school(bullies need some retaliation), but it's pretty much a fear of the unknown.
I got tired of Tobey Maguire after 2, but at least his goofy dance moves in 3 led to some great gifs. Andrew Garfield might come off as a bit smug, but he is nimble and athletic and is a much better fit for Spiderman.
Also, Tobey's narration/inclusion ruined The Great Gasby for me.
Those are all JRPGs, and Legend of Dragoon was in reaction to FFVII. Squaresoft nailed that game, and the commercials at the time showed outstanding CG videos to entice the more casual audience.
Things have changed so much. The 360/PS3 generation grew up with more Western games/genres.
Silent Hill 2 is what I hold up to best the best horror game of all time. The characters aren't Special Forces/Police Officers like in RE, so it ends up being nerve-wracking.
I can't get into the Amnesia series because of the hide n' seek method.
@Pray_to_me: Sometimes Gamersgate has a sale on the whole Infinity engine collection. I got it for 3.99 a few months ago(no DRM too).
I made the choice to switch to PC back in 2010 when console DLC was getting out of hand. On the PC side your software will be functional even after upgrading with brand new parts. It's one of the perks of an open platform. Consoles do have great exclusives, and that's the way it should be to entice purchases.
I hope this game doesn't have FXAA as the lowest AA setting without the ability to turn if off. Assassin's Creed 3 and Sleeping Dogs were softer and blurrier than I expected from 1920 x 1080.
