Rapid Prototyping: the way to go for video game development?

I recently read the following article: http://quote-un-quote.tumblr.com/post/3390170258/interview-indiedev-lazybraingames Inside the interview, the developer says that rapid prototyping is a good way to gain exposure and coverage. I do think that it is a good idea to release often but I don't believe that rapid prototyping will solve a developer's problem with not being able to finish things. Maybe if the developer is inexperienced, but otherwise if won't do he/she much good.

Blog regarding Behind The Scenes Of Minecraft

Hey all, I just read this article from Gamasutra (http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/32809/Exclusive_Behind_The_Scenes_Of_Minecraft.php) and I wanted to give to you my input on it. I actually have not had the chance yet to play Minecraft. I know, I know, but I will play it eventually. I tend to be a late-adopter to most games. Anyways, I do agree with Markus that "open development" is a great way to get fame and feedback on a particular game. It seems the trend of the industry is leaning in this direction based off of the articles and games that I read about. Introduction blog

Hey everyone, my name is Dan. Today I am going to do a blog on the article that I saw on Gamasutra: "Braid's Blow: Social Games Are 'Not Very Social'" (http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/33059/Braids_Blow_Social_Games_Are_Not_Very_Social.php). I agree that "social games" are not very social in the aspect that you are communicating / interacting with people directly. But sending constant notifications to other players is social in a small way. What do you think? Later, Dan
