(Art Status Update #5)

~I got my first official fanart submission up on DeviantArt. It's just a quick, and abstractly colored, sketch of Light Jak (Jak X style! XD), and poor Daxxie clinging to his leg. Check it out, if you'd like!:

~Journal previews are wierd here at GS. I like the old way better. You didn't have to type in 'Size 2' font size to get '10 pt' font size. As soon as I get used to something, it goes around an changes!

~I have still not yet touched my JakII Tribute. I'm not going to re-do it. I'm just gonna try to get all my finished art up before I start working on it again.

~I am drawing less chibis (thank the Lord), but I have discovered that they are so much fun to draw because they're so simple!

~I'm learning more Japanese by the week! My goal is to learn enough to recite an original Inuyasha manga book all in Japanese! It would pwn so much! And Japanese comes in handy in the Gaming World.

~My mom says she might buy be a set of 144 Prismacolor markers for Christmas. But I'm not getting anything else. I would like some headphones for my CD player though. :P

~I have a report or big project for every class I take as of now. That really sucks. >_<

~I <3 Jeff Foxworthy because I have realized that he has a mini-marathon on Saturday nights on NickAtNite. So, woot for that!

~I never have time to draw in the middle of the week. Except for today. I did make this funny comic though that I'll get up later. Script goes like this:

*Daxter walks by a group of people*
Dax: "Hey! I'm a god, so when I walk before you, you bow down to his holiness.
*turns around to face crowd* (here you should notice a familiar shadow behind him :P)
And that also means that all y'all gotta do what I say when I say it, or I'll smite you with my godly-mojo!
*turns around to face the shadow*
Ain't that right, Jak?"
Jak: *blank stare* "..."
Dax: *grabbing Jak by the collar crazily* "WORK WITH ME, MAN!!"

I am taking five different languages in one day! Ahhhh! Overload!

I'm learning Japanese, Chinese, Latin, Spanish, and taking English. IN ONE DAY!! It's confusing to go from one language to another. >_<

ART STATUS UPDATE #3

JakII Tribute-
I scanned the lineart and took the graph-paper lines out. You can see the original scan here:

I'm really pissed with how the bottom and right sides came out, because the bottom has an inch that got cropped off that completed Pecker's face and neck, and the bottom of the mountains at Jak's feet said 'JakII', so the lack of that messes up part of my color scheme on that side of the paper. You could also see more of Keira's (poorly drawn) eyes and face. and more of the right half of the stuff. I've already started coloring the original, so now I'm thinking of rescanning and starting over again.

Just Another Love Song-
I gave up on the stamping, ergo, it is complete'd. I want to adjust the yellow lighting a bit from the wasteland sun between the two... but I don't know how I can do that because of the dark colors I used... but I will try! :D

R&C2 pic. Just Ratchet in an unoriginal gun pose with a gun and armor that don't even exist in the game. It's 80% done and needs a backdrop. I'm thinking maybe an orange and red hot colored background, because he's in blue armor with a green-ish gun and it would really contrast well. You can see the ginormously huge picture here:

The beautiful top border I worked so hard on that was so beautiful got cropped the hell off! So I'm also mad about that! And the picture is maybe only 1/3 the size of your computer screen in reality. The stupid scanner!

90% done. Need to smear and blend the background in Photoshop. Will scan soon. :)

Voodoo Priestess of The Phoenix-
I gave up on this one. I took it out of my gallery... and sold it of course. Without scanning it, so :P to you. I really didn't like it all that much anyways.

It's 100% complete, so I'm gonna sell it. I kept and re-colored the lineart on the computer, so I can show that here when that is finished if you're really curious and ask nicely.

I have not touched this piece forever. I kind of like it the way it is. I might re-do later if I feel like it.

99% complete. Need to add more details to sidewalk and alley wall... Nah. I gave up on this one. It looks fine the way it is.

Finished the lineart, need to scan and kill the graph-paper lines in Photoshop. Changed the script a bit. 60% complete.

Sweet Candy-
Just started the sketch! It's gonna be TessXDaxter... and there is gonna be lots of mushyness and yumminess!! Expect literal candy and non-literal candy. I have figured out many great coloring tips I can use with markers. Amazing. :shock: 5% complete!

Pretty much the same as last time, wait till next week! Wheeeeeee! I want to do some JakX fanart. Because JakX is awesome. Go Kras City! Yeah!

Lineart- DONE!! Just needs a scannin', a printin, then it's a home-stretch from there! I need to find my Prismacolors... then life will be goooood. :D

Just Another Love Song-
98% finished. I've got everything colored, now I just have to break out the stamps and whore them out! I'm gonna go get some more japanese stamps when I can, and if you have any ink color suggestions, tell me! I've got every color in the rainbow! ... Yet I need help in deciding what colorz to use. :(

Above The Sun-
Wheeee! Light Jak sparkleyness! 100% finished!!! Yays! I plan to scan in a few days and add some lighting effects in PS7, though... So that would make it 101%!!!

Up Your Arse!-

Because red is such a pretty color. I'm thinking of coloring everything that's not red greyscale, just to make the guard and the blood stand out. I'm still thinking about it though, I haven't decided.

My friend finally beat me in Action Race mode on Sonic Heroes! I'm... humiliated... I always whooped her at the Bingo Highway level until now! Grrrr.

I had this weird/awesome/kickass/relatively-violent dream where I owned this cool dunebuggy garage out the wasteland desert isle. It was like an airplane hanger, it was stinkingng huge. But anyways, I was a near the Spargus gates somewhere next to one of those mountains on the right/Westside. I owned a driving school or car-dealership or expedition vehicle rental store or something. But it was really cool because all of Jak's cars were there(except for the Tough Puppy. It sucks anyways.) including the Sand Shark. I HATE the Sand Shark's gameplay controls in Jak3. If you wanted to turn to the right, the backside would pull to the left when you turn and slide all over the place >.<

Anyways, I got in the Sand Shark(it's modified to a 1-seater, like in Jak X) and the handling was actually really good. 0.o
Then, I drove to the other side of the wasteland, more specifically, the south side. Then there was all these marauders coming up towards me and then all of the sudden I was in Haven City. Veger(still an ottsel) was there, beating up on some random fat guy o.O, with that staff thing he carries around. It went from a dream where I actually had control over my actions to a dream where I guess I suddenly turn into dark Jak(or something along those lines, you get the jist) and start killing people. I wanted to stop(not because I didn't enjoy killing people, it was more because it was boring killing people over and over.) and go do something else, like kill Veger instead of innocent people. So I went and did that instead. Then Veger's corpse turned into the real DJ and started shooting(with the morph-gun 0_o... huh? Yeah I know) me and so I killed the DJ/Veger-corpse again I suppose. So dreams aren't supposed to make sense, really. Then I woke up and walked to the kitchen to grab some yogurt... Then dark Jak dropped from the ceiling(I guess that was where he was hanging out. How? I dunno.) Then he killed me. Then I woke up for real this time. I guess deep down in my mind I really hate Dark now. Nah. *hugs DJ chibi plushie*

Point Being: "Dreams are freakin' wierd."

So now I'm using it. Yay, I guess. Um... lesse... what to write? Hmm. For starters, the first thing that comes up in my mind is Jak X. There's a good start. I hope dark Jak makes a few good/awesome/worth-while-watching appearances in the new game. It wouldn't be the same without good ol' Darkie. Why am I writing this? Is this some sort of form of talking to myself? Ugh... I think I'm thinking or writing to myself... Oh, what the crap.

I wonder if I can post pictures in this journal? YES! I wonder if it's Arbor Day? (even though that has nothing to do with posting an image... which is what I do in my regular journals, is draw concept art and stuff before I do a finished version)
