So i started my Wii / PS3 hunt offically last night. Auburn Hills, MI is the location were i live.
My Wii hunt was ended quickly as i have a connection =D. I use to work at Gamestop back in 2000 and my friends still work with them *managers now* and they slid me in for a Wii at midnight launch. So thats one down, one to go.
So i started at my local Meijers *Think midwest Wal-Mart*. The lady told me about 6 units expected and they will put out 6 chairs in-store at 12:01 am Wednesday night. People in the chairs at 12:01 Thursday night, get the PS3's. Then i headed to Target. Lady told me about 8 units expected, you can camp out whenever *no campers as of yet. Next was Best Buy, they said about 26 units expected. Will be handing out tickets at 7am Friday and you can start camping out 7am Thursday. Last Circuit City, they said you can wait outside, but due to mall rules you cant line up till 6am Friday morning and they will have 6 units.
So the game plan is take my test at 9am Thursday >_>, head to Mejiers. If all seats are taken, go check out Best Buys lines. If nothing i stiring i am gonna head home and prepare to camp thier. If the line is already insane, i am gonna bank on the last plan and get up at 4am and circle around Circuit City till about 5:45am and lineup. My chances i think are good, but i also know i will get a Wii 2 days later so i am not over concerned about not getting one.
Last my eBay thoughts. While it is kinda lame to exploit demand like people will do, you cant really blame them since that is how this country was made. Would i do it. I dont know, i will have to wait and see when i get a PS3 in my hands. It is tempeting to do it and turn around and get a new TV, Wii all for free. Anyways that is my Wii/PS3 plans as of now. Not sure who will actually read this, just felt like making a Blog lol. Later~
