[QUOTE="crozon"]a problem with your survey. what of those people who don't pirate games. and yes me and load of my friends now only buy our games and don't pirate.Mckenna1845
op said it's for people who do pirate things, i think he's trying to find out why rather than who.

Pretty much yeah. This survey has pirates in mind.

Who even cares about crysis? I was using that just as an example and that's it. The topic isn't even about crysis and that isn't being bias. Because I get some crysis quote wrong, what? That means I'm bias against...crysis? developers? Pirates? You make no sense.

[QUOTE="Renevent42"]I tried searching and didn't see him make any claim like that. The only thing I did see him say was pointing out how similar titled games on consoles sell 4-5 times more, and that he would not be making PC only titles anymore. Anyways, you sound very biased and it seems instead of doing research, you are merely trying to prove a point with a silly survey.

How am I biased? I haven't even said anything that would mean taking a side. And what point do you think I'm trying to make? Maybe go back to system wars, yeah?

[QUOTE="darklord888"][QUOTE="Renevent42"]Even then you aren't getting "facts"...just responses from people. People lie, embellish, and exaggerate all the time. Most surveys actually know this too and apply statistical adjustments to try and balance the results.Renevent42

It's better facts than "Pc is dead!!" or "Crysis would have sold 8 million more without piracy"

Not really, you need to understand what a fact is. It's either a fact or not...just because you can point to something even more outlandish, doesn't make something else more factual.

And who made those claims anyway? I remember the crysis devs being dissapointed with how much Crysis was pirated and they probably said they would have sold more had there been none, but I don't remember them saying it would have sold 8 million more copies.

I can't remember the exact quote but it was basically saying crysis could have hit 8 million sales if it wasn't for piracy which is a load of crap.

sadly its going to get locked and you will end up with a warning. Which is unnecessary to be honest.GazaAli
Damn, really? All it is is a study on a serious topic. I'm not saying for people to spill their guts about what they pirate. I even put it on that surveymonkey site so people didn't need to post the answers here. This is a really hard topic to research as every site but a few(and most of them are warez sites) won't allow me to even ask this kind of thing.
How is anyone meant to get some hard facts on piracy when it's taboo to ask the people who make it happen?

I'm doing a study about piracy and seeing as PC is the system that gets the most flak over it I thought I'd post this here. It's just a 6 question survey that'll only take about 30 seconds to do.

Also, I know piracy is a no-no around here but this is just a survey so I hope that's ok, if it's not then please lock this. I didn't see any direct rule against it though, only talking about actually pirating stuff.

One final thing this survey is aimed at people who do pirate things, wether it's a lot or just a few times. If you NEVER pirate, there is no need in doing it. So please help out and thanks! :)

402 said it in a podcast on http://www.bashandslash.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=91&Itemid=76deleterguy
And no mods. Basically, the PC version is dead. PC gamers are getting a 100% console port.

What's funny is that no online play was never even mentioned in the review, the TC added that in his opening post and people here are actually trying to use that as the reason for it scoring so poorly :|

W1NGMAN-
I never said that. I was pointing out one of the things I thought was disappointing and it obviously counted towards its lower score.
