Great TV: Seinfield

Great TV is a collection of what I think are best TV shows of all time. Every Sunday, I review a new Great TV and tell about what is so special about it? Seinfield is the first true Great TV maybe because when I'm ever asked the question. "What is your favorite TV show?", I always answer either Seinfield or I Love Lucy. Seinfield is my favorite show and is the best show I've ever seen.

Seinfield is not just a show about "Nothing" but, about friends. Seinfield is about 4 friends. Jerry Seinfield a young comedian, and the main character. George Costanza is the overweight and lazy best friend. Kramer Cosmo, the buffoon and possibly the nicest character on the show. Elaine Benes, the only female character and a pretty strong woman. There are so many recurring characters that is hard to name one off hand. But, my favorite recurring character is Newman. Newman is Jerry's nemesis and possibly one of his best friends on the inside.

Seinfield is an unusual sitcom as there is no real moral values. The characters make mistakes but, they don't seem to care. But, the characters are such good people that I think they don't do bad things on purpose. The show doesn't try to be preachy like other sitcoms. Seinfield is funny on how the characters make witty little comments that seem too be out of story. But, they are very smartly written and sophisticated. The storylines are so creative and different from anything I've ever seen. Seinfield is the type of show, where it's jokes never age and stay young each time you hear them. The show begins with Jerry in his comedy show, and even it's not funny. You just can't help smiling at his comments.

Seinfield is a very special television series. Simply the best television series, I've ever seen. Too bad for the Seinfield curse, thank god the curse didn't affect this series.

Making A Youtube Video.

I will be making a youtube video for TV guide's list of the best shows ever. I will not be a blog, just the list. This is just a test not, to be taken seriously. I might one day start reviewing tv shows on youtube. If you have any questions ask me.

The Show Has Jump The Shark Folks!

Why do shows jump the shark? What causes a show to jump the show? Is it o.k. to like the changes that must people hated? Where does the term "Jump the Shark" come from? Do shows jump because of low ratings?

"Becky, Is That You?" Same Character, Different Actor.

Dick York As Darrin Dick Sargent As Darrin?

dick york and dick sargent as darrin on bewitched

Cast Changes are never a real problems in my oppion. Cast changes are better than lame explanations of why the character left. My final oppion: Acceptable

Birth of Baby. "Motherhood Always Bring Extra Love"

Peebles and Bam Bam from The Flinstones. Look cute, but we hate them.

Peebles and Bam Bam from the Flinstones

Birth of a child is a hit or miss at best. I only like the baby when its important to the story than just being there for a ratings improvement. My final oppion: Hit or Miss.

Death "He Will Be Sorely Missed"

His death became part of tv history.

Henry Blake

Death is a right of passage. I don't have a problem with somebody dying on tv but, if it used as an excuse for the actor to leave. Then thats just pathetic. When its used as part of the storyline like in Sesame Street, then its good. My Final Oppion is: Hit or Miss.

Ted McGinley

"Another picture, captain? I mean, Fonzie? ....Al?"

ted

Ted McGinley was funnier than David Garrison on Married With Children. But, i don't know what to think about him. I don't consider him the saint for jumping the shark.

Puberty

"When it's time to change, you have to rearrange."

Leave it to beaver

Growing Up is a part of life. And I don't have a problem with characters growing up on tv. I say: Acceptable.

The Musical Episode

"Do Re Mi"

Musical Episode Of Buffy

Musical Episodes are chessy but, kinda fun. I say: Hit or Miss.

Live!

"You're On"

ER

Live episodes are not really a problem but, i think you should film it. Because it might go wrong. Final Oppion: Hit or Miss

I Do

"I now pronounce you..."

Fifth Season of Jeannie

Marriage ruins chemistry. I think its better if they did what they did for "Whos the Boss?" and just leave it at an ambougious ending. Final Rating: Ruins Chemistry

They Did It

"It ruins the relationship."

TV Guide

I don't care if they did it. It's at least better than marriage. Final Rating: Hit or Miss.

The Movie

"Welcome to the Big Screen"

X files the movie

I think movies are just extended episodes. Some movies work but, most fail. Final Rating: Depends.

Moving
"Who needs Milwaukee anyway?"

Webster
I don't mind if they move. So i'm kinda Netural on this.

Special Guest Star

"And (INSERT HAS-BEEN HERE) as..."

Clay Aiken on Scrubs

I don't really like special guest stars because they are just ways to boost ratings. But, they could somtimes be funny.

A Very Special........

"Next Monday, on a very special Fresh Prince of Bel-Air..."

Gordon Jump

I don't really like Special Episodes as they differ too much from the story. Like in different strokes.

New Kid In Town

"This is your couisn Oliver"

Cousin Oliver

I don't like cute characters. They are very annoying.

Hair Care

"Nice 'do."

Kelly Bundy

I Don't Care about Hair Care.

Exit.....Stage Left

"Gotta go, Andy..."

Fox Mulder

If they don't have a good reason then i don't like it.

Color

"I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."

in Color!

I don't care about color.

Sex and the City: The Movie Or The X Files: I Want To Believe

The X-Files: I Want to Believe Teaser PosterSex and the City: The Movie Teaser Poster

2008 is the year for 2 movie adaptations of hit tv series. One based on the popular HBO television series Sex and the City starring Sarah Jessica Parker. The other is based on the popular Fox televison series The X-Files with David Duchony and Gillian Anderson.

Both films were critcally panned by Critics. Rottentomatoes.com shows Sex and the City with a 51 Percent Rotten and The X-Files with a 33 Percent Rotten.

Now for my oppion.

Sex and the City: The Movie is just another medicore 2 hour episode of the show. The movie is just too long and it could've been a tv movie.

I give Sex and the City: The Movie. 2 Stars out of 4

The X Files: I Want to Believe is a much better movie and it works on the same level as the Dark Knight. It's a movie about choices than just who's good or evil. The movie also works the same way thrillers worked before villians were as big as bulidings. But, the movie is too long.

I give the X-Files: I Want to Believe 3 1/2 out of 4.

Even though I liked The X-Files movie. I doesn't stop me from disapproving of tv based movies. I guess the next movie based on a television series will be Desperate Housewives: The Movie.

Anime Censorship: Wrong

Just an Example of Anime Censorship and it shows on one scene with the censorship on the left and the graphic uncensored version on the right.

Anime is one of my fav. type of animation. Mainly because of its beauty and interguing and adult storylines. But, I think in the United States they got the impression that anime was meant for children. Really? But Anime has more mature isssues than American Animation. Guess What? Inorder for Anime to be apporaite for kids, the FCC censors violent content, sexual content and drug content. The violent scene shown in the top is an example of censorship of violence. The left is the censored verison without the blood and the frightning image of his face is erased. On the right is the uncensored verison with the blood and frightning image intacted.

Here are other examples of the censorship:

Sexual Censorship with the clevage blurred out.

Another Example of Censorship.

Political Corretness with the Hexagon erased out.

Political Correctness

Censorsing Drugs With the Drugs Erased.

Drug Censorship

Replacing Japanesse Culture With American Culture

Popular Culture

These Examples show how Censorship is wrong. Anime is meant for adults not for children. Japan already learned that and accepted. Anime is a form of art and shouldn't be censored. O.K. Dummy!
