So after much thought I actually went out and bought a copy of hunters. Well worth the 30quid I shelled out for it, worth a shot even for the multiplayer itself.
The single player mode is pretty cool too, involving traditional metroid style puzzles like scanning various keypads around the level to open a door somewhere down the line. The only problem is that it happens every god damned planet I go to. But it's worth sticking through for the many little deathmatches the game faces you with during the course of your journey. Fighting other Bounty hunters for an artifact is pretty damned fun.
One thing most players of the series (more the Prime series than others) will notice is the severe lack of lore in game about how certain worlds ended up like derelict wastelands. Although i'm nowhere near the end of the game it's shaping up to have a pretty decent ending, purely based on the amount of work Nintendo seem to have put into the game.
My opinion: Buy this damn game asap!
