I refuse to pay D+ and a movie ticket to see this.
I'd rather have had another 2 seasons of the series by 2026 instead of the greed and delays brought about by this decision. I suppose we'll cancel d+ till the next Andor season gets released. Everything else newly released just seems stale right out of the bag.
If Dr Doom's alter eago is not some other world's Tony Stark then I feel like any continuity is out the window. I don't know where it's written that in every alternate timeline, Tony Stark can only become Iron Man.
I don't care if he was formerlly Baron von Doom or whatever. In this version, it should be a Stark variant not
"Let's introduce this totally new character played by RDJ, his name is,um,let's call him Peter Parker. This guy Peter Parker played by RDJ on another world is the new Dr. Doom."
Please Noooo.
I think it would also be cool having Dr Doom have access to all of the Stark tech. Yeah, they could create some new character that's some rich guy with access to a bunch of tech, but why recreate what's already been created. Plus, IF Doom is supposed to eventually make nice with FF, it could be much more satisfying welcoming the soul of Tony Stark back into the heroic fold.
(But then, what do I know? I liked the changes Peter Jackson made to LOTR. 🤨)
I'm kind of disappointed that the new Gen of consoles isn't ready to push 8K resolutions on any level. It seems we're finally getting more stable 4K support. But even that already seems shaky in a few instances.
I suppose we can call this the 4K console generation, even though there were intermediate hdwe releases since the original Xbone/PS4 which attempted to address these enhancements already.
Hopefully, the next generation (ps6, etc) will be ready for 8k support.
At least that helps push back my buying anxiety for the new 8k TVs.
I have to admit I'm not too impressed in the power increase from last Gen Xbone or PS4, especially when I already have a ps4Pro with its upgraded power and an SSD.
I see this generation as incremental. The only thing that looks like possibly a real advancement, is the PS5 haptic feedback. But that's not enough to make me part with the dough for an oversized unsightly (IMHO) new box.
I think I'll wait it out this time for the sure-to-be-released smaller sleaker PS5 with the lower price.
Or pick up a used one at the pawn shop, If prices don't drop enough.
I finally realized....It's only a commodity for a minute.
@goldenageplayer: I had the same experience with PS4. Decided to become an earlier adopter to support the brand against the "online only" Xbone intro.
But they had no game I liked until Diablo 3 came out like a year+ later. Then, they burned me again with the PS4pro launch. I did upgrade to the pro trying to speed up D3 loads but still had to add an SSD before I was satisfied. Not going down that road again. 20 Mos wait this time.
@cylor: Undoubtedl, your 4k set has HDR. I used to walk thru Bbuy yawning at the 4k TVs compared to the 1080 sets. Then after a couple of years, they suddenly started catching my eye. Hmmm, why now? After researching, I realized that they had added HDR to the sets, now showing thousands more color variations than my 1080p TV. HDR is what made the 4K TVs pop! and worth buying, NOT the 4K.
